That's not what Lon does. He uses nonconference games as if they're preseason games basically every single year. And we look worse than expected, and everybody freaks out about it. We will be a much different team in a month and a half.

That's why we're seeing ole' defense: because every time we buckle down a little bit, they get bailed out by a whistle.

Very one-sided officiating, and that will always impact the defense of the team that is getting the short end of the stick.
