OU men's basketball in postseason is not a crazy idea

Evidence that there's too many post-season tourneys. If OU/Capel accepts a CBI or NIT invite with a losing record, it would be laughable to say the least.

If OU plays in the CBI I'm wearing a bag over my head for that game.

If we accept we either better play our games at huff 'n puff or refuse to play a home game. The last thing we need is a gym of empty seats showing on the tv.

What if the athletic department gave away free tickets like they did for the Texas game? They could give free tickets to the elementary schools and to all of the nursing homes in the metro area.

I agree with this. Its the same in college football. Going to the postseason should be an earned privilege not a corporate money fest that allows everyone to participate all for the $$$$.

I'm not crazy about the idea either, but I think more games (and more practice times) would only benefit the young players who need more experience.

Can you not practice through the end of the NCAA tournament anyway?

You could a few years ago.

That's a good question that I don't know the answer to.

The improvement that young football players make during the month long practices before a bowl game is tremendous. Can't help but think it would help young basketball players as well

I know it used to be that way, maybe they changed the rules. To make it fair, until the conclusion of the national championship game, all teams, regardless of whether they made the dance or not, were allowed to hold regular practices.
