For all the LON bashers, why don't you wait till he gets all his own players stupid. Would you rather go back before him when we DIDN'T make the tourney? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I Love Lon and he will take us further in the tourney as he gets his players and system totally installed.

He coached everything right tonight BUT the players made dumb fouls, missed wide open 3's and missed many key free throws. Lon had them in the right positions but he can't go out there and make the shot for them. This is on the players

Okay, I've regained my composure. These kids had a heck of a season. They weren't really expected to make it to the tournament. This team played their hearts out this year. Don't put these kids down. I'm proud of my Sooners. We'll be back and better that ever next year. Thanks guys for a great season.

Hopefully, this team stops thinking that they just need to shoot threes for a half anf play actual defense. The foul by Cousins is just beyond me. Up by 4 and he's not shooting and you do that crap. Wow, just wow. And why Buddy is taking that shot, I just dont get it.

I feel like I just watched WVU game all over again. Missed Ft's with the lead and do t guard 3 pt line. Hield failed to show up in the tournaments this year, tonight was a big letdown.

Very good season. Those young guards will be another year experienced, and know what it takes to win in the tourney. We exceeded expectations. Proud of OUr guys. You football junkies have fun ripping OUr coach & team after watching your first game of the season tonight.

So this is satisfaction for you. You don't have high expectations obviously. I bet you were thrilled with Sampson's teams losing in the first round on an annual basis too.

• Our D was not great either (but take away the others and we win)

Just not enough poise when we needed it.

On the other hand they went 20-22 from the line for the game

I agree. The days of small schools being physically outmanned are few and far between. We had no decided matchup advantages against this team. Their backcourt was just as quick/athletic as ours. You see it more and more each year. Seedings be danged, that team was not that much worse, talent wise than us.

These are most of his players. They have the talent to play Defense, it's up to the coaching staff to get them to. ND state is not more athletic or talented than us but their D is fantastic. All about COACHING.

I'd say the opposite. Our regular season accomplishments are what's meaningful. This team was never going to win an NCAA title. As much as I'm pissed about the loss, I'll take 12-6 with sweeps of OSU and Texas over 9-9 and a tournament win.

We still had a successful season though who expected us to be a 5 seed at the beginning of the year

Bull****. That team didn't beat anyone good and lost to a bunch of **** teams. Our record was better than our talent, but no way is that a 5-5 series.
