I'm with you. I loved Kelvin when he was at OU and I defended him endlessly against the vitriol directed at him by a vocal contingent of OU fans. But I'm just about sick to death of the recent campaign to canonize him here.

I trust that UH has a board; I would encourage those who remain so deeply devoted to a coach who got us in trouble with the NCAA and then took off rather than see our program through the aftermath of his actions create an account there and sing his praises there.

LOL, my post was a joke poking fun of those on this board that have recently canonized Sampson. As my posting history shows, I liked Sampson fine enough, but I'm very far from a Sampson homer, and thus the tongue in cheek post.

Glad to hear it. You might want to bone up on your sarcasm skills, though; the ironic tone eluded at least two of us (and I've never been accused of having poor reading skills).

yeah, I liked Kelvin and all and I preferred his style. But he's gone and he couldnt ever come back. Nor would I want him to. OU has moved on. Lon is our coach and I want things to happen that include him.
 
Well, then I apologize that each of you didn't get an obvious joke, which is I find funny since skyvue actually responds with "But I'm just about sick to death of the recent campaign to canonize him (Sampson) here." My joke played off that exact thing. For example, in the McGusty thread this is one post "Dude (McGusty) should go to Houston. Kelvin will turn him into an All-Conference player by his senior year if he'll work." (there are other similar posts in the past couple of months by a number of posters).

But, somehow me saying this recruit should go to Houston if he knows what is best is missed as a joke by everyone. Oh well.
 
I apologize for misunderstanding your not-so-obvious joke. I'm glad to see I misunderstood it also because it didn't seem to make much sense given your previous posts.
 
I saw that there were 14 new posts on this thread from when I checked it this morning so I thought that this kid was a big deal blowing up the message boards. Turns out all 14 posts were directly related to asshattery.
