Cbs sports network is live right now at OU's shootaround at the stadium if anyone is interested.

A couple of quotes from the talking heads:

"OU is not just Buddy Hield" (they go on to highlight the play of the others)

"Was a stroke of genius by Kruger to make Cousins the PG; freed up Woodard to be the #2 shooter that he is"

I had my reservations about the Cousins to pg decision. But I also trusted that Kruger would know a little more about basketball then I do... ;). It's been such a great move. Woulda never guessed Woodard would be such a great spot up shooter.

I'm still not in love with cousins being our 1. Woodards shooting sure has made it seem wise. But i would have the caveat of woodard taking over at the 1 if the defense is really attacking or pressing. Because Woodard really is a PG while cousins should not be in crunch time imo

Yes. I know many of us felt nervous, but Kruggs knows what he's doing. Imagine our team had this move not been made... Also, i believe that Cousins really has NBA potential... Maybe he'll catch on with a team and he could really be a good back up point.

Was a lot of fun to watch. They shot the entire time, bigs at 1 end and guards at the other. Buddy was stroking it, one time making 6 in a row from about 8 ft beyond the arc. He just put on a show.

Aside from Buddy, I found the bigs the most interesting. They did pick-and-pops, shot from the short corners and elbows, and finally from 3 pt range. They did many of the same things the guards did, only from 4-5 feet closer in.

The other thing I found interesting is that Nova's walk-ons never shot the ball. They ran their drills with the regular players, but their job was to get the ball to their most important players and let them shoot it. OU was different. All of our guys did the exact same things everyone else did. Bola Alade shot basically as many shots as Woodard did. I liked that a lot about the Sooners.

One other thing that stood out...The guys who don't play -- Alade, Cole, Freeman, etc -- all wore white jerseys while the "players" wore red. Walker also was wearing white. It was weird. He was the only guy who plays wearing white. Even Odomes wore red.

It may mean nothing. Maybe they chose which color they wanted to wear and that's how it ended up. But it's awfully odd to see it so clearly divided in terms of jersey color and then see Walker also wearing the jersey color of the walk ons and redshirts.

I also met Walker's JUCO coach outside the stadium. That was kind of cool.

That's why you are a message board and Lon is in another final four .

Being able to practice this deep into the year is going to greatly benefit our returning players for next year.:OU-logo:
