The top of the sixth today against Tennessee is why Clark pulled Luna. With two out, she walked a batter, hit a batter, and walked a batter to force in a run that was there due to a leadoff walk. Luna does that. She gets into some sort of funk and just makes mistakes. We've seen Ricketts do that in the past. There was no reason to give Tennessee a run, especially since Texas is not hitting either Renfro. As the announcers have said, Texas just lets some very hittable pitches down the middle go, like they are surprised.

Texas lost 2-1. Both teams had a solo home run. Luna gave up eight walks and a hit batsman. Three walks and a hit batter scored the winning run.

Looking ahead to next year, who will OU have pitching? Keilani and Gascoigne are both seniors.

I believe they also have the number 1 junior college pitcher coming in as well. Maggie Ham is her name.

We recruited Casey as a pitcher, and she is the heir apparent. She will begin to work on that aspect of the game, rebuilding those particular muscles, immediately after the season. She is supposedly pretty good, probably the best in the Big Twelve next year type quality.

Gasso has also mentioned the pitcher from Blanchard and the JC recruit who was originally at La-Lafayette. That's next year. I think we have another Keilani in the mix for the following year.

The juco pitcher, Maggie Hamm, is the number one juco pitcher in the nation on the number one juco team in the nation. She has fantastic stats. Chamberlain says that Casey is "nasty" as a pitcher.
Besides Miller, there are at least two other pitchers among the freshmen, Taylor Dewberry and Jules Townsend. Next November OU will sign another outstanding pitcher from Kansas City, Brittany Finney, for the 2014-2015 school year.
While there's bound to be some dropoff, I think the pitching will still be very good.

I have watched Tenn play twice in these series and I haven't been impressed with the Renfro sisters pitching. They throw a bunch of balls with some solid pitches mixed in right over the plate perfect. Our hitters are really good at watching the balls and when the over the plate comes they are going to kill it. I think OU will be putting Tenn into a state of shock.
