Quite a few faint hearts out there, particularly in the first half. Tough defensive game on the part of both teams. That leads to what some call an ugly game. I have always been a fan of tough defense.
I missed the first 10 minutes so I guess I saw the better part of the game. Had to depend a lot on Osby, M'Baye and Hield tonight. Need more from Pledger. Also if we can get consistent production from Clark and Fitz off the bench we will be tough to beat. Need three or four jumpers by each and a couple of garbage points.They have shown flashes of good play but seem to disappear the next game.
We need to handle the press better at the end of the game. Generally we have finished the games good this year but can't have those turnovers late in the game. Last years team would have probably faded and dropped 4 or 5 of the games we have won.
Good points Osby, and continued improvement by Hield and M'Baye.
Room for improvement: Pledger and bench need to contribute more.
Kruger is still building the depth with giving minutes to Cousins. I'm sure he can shoot the ball better but he is shooting the ball flat and with freshman jitters. We have seen him shoot much better although against lesser competition. But his is missing open shots that he has hit earlier in the season. I guess that is part of catching up with the speed of the game.
