We were obviously motivated to get revenge for the Hollis Price injury in the 2001 NCAA tournament against Indians State. I mean, a tooth in the triceps … who could ever forget it.

I thought Indiana State would be a good test after they blew ODU’s doors off in yesterday’s game. That was before this OU team came out ready to play from the opening tap today with a defensive performance that was as good as I have seen in a very long time.

We still have some work to do, especially on our mental mistakes. But if this team continues to improve and play their lockdown defense with the intensity we saw in today’s game, nothing they do will surprise me!

I liked the way that Moser pulled players after sloppy play or poor execution. It appears that he is serious about players earning playing time. Then the good thing to me was he usually gave them other opportunities.

Defense was great. Some see a play where we get a little out of position or someone is burned on a back door play and pronounce it as a bad defense overall. Hey those things happen when you play an agressive defense and sometimes you just have to give credit to the other guy.

Offense was better but still too many turnovers that should have been avoided. At times the offense seemed to stall a bit but it was overall a good effort, especially in the second half when the flow improved. Cortes is beginning to win me over. Guy is really savvy for a frosh. Best game by Tanner so far and Jacob finally got into the flow of things.

We have yet to face a quality opponent so it is easy to overhype things but I really like what I am seeing.
