OU vs. Notre Dame

What a great win for this team! Especially without McNeace. Awesome.

I grew up in OKC. Graduated from John Marshall and OU and then moved to NYC in 1982. Been here ever since.

Interesting...what made you choose NYC? Just curious...lol. no biggie.

I moved here to pursue a career as an actor (that didn't pan out).

But enough about me... (as I'm sure all the participants and lurkers in this thread will agree).

I'm always interested in learning about other posters and their backgrounds.....as long as it is nothing illegal.:D

Ah..cool... it's always good to follow your dreams...then just go with the way the road takes ya. Life is about living...the older I get (54) the more it becomes my focus.

I just find paths interesting...we are all ou fans with different backgrounds...different perspectives.

I teach middle school...last yr. I try to tell the kids 20/30/40 yrs from now not a damn thing will matter about Ms...unless ya make really poor choices...lol.

I feel so sorry for kids in junior high. that was the worst time of my life and the same for my kids. Can't imagine trying to teach them at that age. you have my sympathies.

Living in New York and skipping the Sooners at the Garden? Income's got to be more fixed than Seinfeld's grandmother.

(Uncle Leo reference)

Your Nana is missing because she's been passing those bum checks all over town, and she’s finally pissed off the wrong people!!

I always find it interesting (of course) what drives some folks to really go away...

I moved a lot as a kid...as my dad traveled up the education career..teacher to superintendent...so having a set home, staying close to family drove me to be where I sm.

Lol... yeah it can be very frustrating but rewarding. That was a weird time for me as well...that's my point to these kids. In the future non of the crap that goes on will matter.

I had a good childhood and adolescence in OKC, but from the first day of my first visit to NYC (spring break of my junior year at OU), I knew this was where I belonged. And it wasn't like I grew up dreaming of living here -- I only came here that first time because I figured I had to move somewhere to pursue acting -- but I was hooked immediately. Thirty-six years later, I'm still here.

That's cool...never been. Biggest "city" is Chicago. It was fun. Someday wouldnt mind visiting...step daughter just got back from a weekend with her aunt/uncle as a bday gift (yeah they own about 7 pharmacies in texas... loaded).

The guys looked l8ke a basketball team tonight. Clear up the point guard turn overs and we do lad be a tuff team o beat.:clap

We are really, really fun to watch. The senior impact of guys like Calixte and Reynolds cannot be stated enough. Considering the low expectations I (and many others) had coming into this season, I'm just going to enjoy the ride.

And hats off to Christian James. Feels like he's channeled a couple seasons worth of frustration and is just killing it this year.

Good win, perfect time to have one of those hot shooting nights
