OU vs saxet Wednesday 8pm CST ESPN2

JB/Harmon: 20 points.

AR/Manek: 18 points.

If you'd told me before the game Brady and Austin would only combine for 18 I would've bet the house on us losing. GREAT team win!

Great game. We didn't chuck and miss 3's all night. Probably Harmon's best game. Got to the rim and finished. Some good spurts from Kuath. This team does a great job of taking care of the ball.
That being said, Texas has some really good players but terrible coaching.
All is right in the world again tonight.

It was a great win for sure! I was so traumatized (figuratively speaking) after the 2013 game in Texas (when we blew like a 20 point lead with about 6 minutes left in the game), that I was still holding my breath up 10 with 30 seconds left :D.

I'll admit I was yelling at my TV in the first half pleading with Coach Kruger to not let Jalen Hill play at all in the second half, but he made a big play with the offensive rebound and put-back late in the game. I sometimes lose perspective that freshmen are going to be freshmen, but plays like that will give him a lot of confidence down the line...glad coach ignored me ;).

Something that went unnoticed if you weren't listening to the radio-- Kruger let Harmon stay back and talk to Toby post game. Don't normally see a lot of freshman get to do that. Could have easily let Doolittle do it as he had just as big of a performance. I think it was a nod to Harmon for keeping his chin up after putting him on the bench the last couple of games.

He may not be starting but Kruger has kept him in there at crunch time and he has made huge plays in both conference games thus far.

He's showing the flashes of his potential.

Gotta let them grow up on the court. We'll end up needing something from Jalen down the stretch and this time will have been worth it.

Harmon also had 3 steals—two of them down the stretch when we were trying to hold onto a lead. Good to see him growing up right before our eyes! Also good to see JB find the confidence in his shot again.

Great win on the road!

Are we going to win any conference games? Is JB worth playing? Will our bench ever contribute?? All questions people seriously asked within the past couple weeks. Not posting this to rub it in, just to point out that it's dangerous to draw conclusions based on a few games. Works both ways, meaning I'm not predicting JB is going to start scoring 15 per game.

We still need to rebound better and hope this game was a fluke from the stripe, but great minutes from Kur, JB, Harmon, etc.

Kruger calling the one iso play for Harmon was gutsy. I liked it a lot.

I was saying the exact same thing about Hill and Vic. I just don't trust them on the road right now in conference play. Having said that, you have to throw them into the fire and hope they don't make too many impactful mistakes....it's the only way they are going to learn. And like you said, Hill had a nice board and put-back in the second half. I do think both will be more comfortable at home.

Agree and without Kuath I don't think we are able to hold them off. They were scoring at will under the hoop until he altered that game plan.

Kuath is a very good matchup against Texas and the taller teams in conference. We will need quality minutes from him when we play KU, WV, and TCU as well.

Manek 23 minutes
Kuath 17 minutes

Wow

When Kuath first entered the game, Texas was on pace to score about 100 points...not putting all that on Manek, but Kuath clearly made a defensive impact. I especially liked the shots he altered inside the paint due to his height. I just hope we can get some consistency out of him.

i don't think we've seen what type of athlete he really is yet. he tends to be a skill player and not an 'athlete' but he'll test off the charts at the combine. if he can be a catch and shoot guy and d up 3s and 4s, he'll get a shot.

I agree, a guy with that size and even a sniff of 3pt range will get a shot if he is can D up wings. KD can go late 1st to mid 2nd.

Couple great things happened last night. Harmon, JB, I thought Williams were really good at times. Hill was up and down which is fine. Manek was pretty bad all night. He just got killed on the boards which is pretty normal. Victor at this point just can't play much at all. The guy has no clue on what's going on. Think he has great potential still, but he should only get about 2-8 min a game.
Kuath was big time, but can't expect him to come out all the way and guard a corner 3 from bottom of a zone.

I love Doolittle, but he won’t be able to get his shot off in the league with a guy his size or larger guarding him with his same quickness, and he won’t be able to guard smaller players. Like I said, he’s a quintessential tweener. He will make a ton of money overseas though, and some of those places in Europe are spectacular places to live.
