Amber Battle is a heck of an athlete.
Both her parents were athletes at U New Mexico. One played basketball and the other ran track.
UNM wanted Amber bad.

Sometime, I would like you to explain the suspension of Battle. I saw the video. I saw nothing that she did wrong---unless it was to show up a male by getting a rebound from him. Both her parents were athletes at U New Mexico. One played basketball and the other ran track.

I think the fact that Maddie is tall results in turnovers. McKenna fell down, rolled over the ball, and landed out of bounds. They gave the turnover to Maddie. Coltan said that Maddie could get to the rim any time she wanted. Did it twice today. It would be nice to have her back.
Prior to her injuries, I saw Maddie being a lot like what we are seeing with Gioya, similar in style, except that Gioya is 5-9 while Maddie is 6-2 and leaps like someone 6-6---or did.
Gioya had some nice assists. When you move, you can open people up.
Peyton had a good game, playing within herself. When you look at the stat lines of Peyton and Gioya, you can see why OU won. Points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals, few turnovers. Maddie also played like that, as did Treece.
Kay Kay appeared to be a bit off, but her stats ended up pretty fair. Nobody dominated at anything on the stat sheet. Everyone contributed. Nobody looked stupid.

She really wasn't on the court enough time to give her a fair evaluation.
Thanks. In the video of a practice, I thought she looked leaner and like
she was moving well, but it was prior to injury and it was just a short video.

That's about all I got out of it. Amber said she [whatever she did] first. She was vague about exactly what she did. In the video I saw, there's a pole between the players and the camera. Amber goes up to him and you can't tell if she hits him or shoves him or what, but then he retaliates by punching her.I think the deal was that she shoved him first or hit him. However, I did
not understand it either and it is not about female vs male. I thought it looked
like he was playing pretty rough and kind of in response she hit him or shoved him but like you would see in a basketball game and the player would get a tech, maybe. In a pick-up game, no big deal. His retaliation seemed over-the-top. Maybe it was a political gambit to prevent his being kicked off the team.
We need to keep KayKay on the floor. She did aright, but foiuling out in 18 min isn't exactly ideal. I hope she isn't going back to her old ways.
