If you had to set a line on an over/under for conference wins, where do you start it?

I would start it at 4 and probably take the under if betting on it. 3 is too low to take the under. I think 5 is too high for serious people to take the over. In fact, I would prefer the under at 3 than the over at 5. I just don't see this team winning on the road in conference play. I also don't see OU beating KU under any circumstances, including massive foul trouble for KU, a suspended starter and a cold shooting night for KU.

I think Texas, Baylor and A&M beat OU by double digits in Norman.

Nebraska, CU, OSU and Tech are probably winnable games but I don't think OU can winn all four. I am actually worried about CU and Neb because I don't see OU getting much fan support. The fans will show up for OSU.

Baylor - loss
Baylor - loss
Texas - loss
Texas - loss
Kansas - loss
at KSU - loss
at Missouri - loss
at A&M - loss
at OSU - loss
at Tech - loss

CU - win
Neb - win
at Iowa St - win
Tech - win
A&M - win
OSU - win

I think we'll drop one of those last 6 and end up 5-11. So I'll take the over if it's set at 4, which is probably a good spot to start.

You have to set it at 4....I will go with the over.

Which of those 6 teams has a worse backcourt than OU? Which have a worse front court? Which team will have the best player in each game.

I think all six teams have the better backcourt. I think A&M clearly has the better front court and I don't know about the rest of those teams.

I am just not convinced that OU can beet Burks and Higgin (CU).

I don't like OU's chances against A&M. A&M will have the best player (I would say Middleton), the better backcourt and the better front court. I just don't see OU winning that game. The best thing for OU is it is OU's first conference game and it is possible OU will have a nice home court advantage but I would not count on a huge crowd. A&M is not a traditional basketball rival and this is a very bad season. Therefore, I would expect a half empty stadium (I hope I am wrong).

OU does not historically play well at ISU. OU is 5-5 in their last 10 in Ames and has a losing record (all time) in Ames. I don't think ISU is all that good but I don't like OU on the road.

Nebraska beat the crap out of OU last year in Lincoln. OU had Willie Warren, TMG, Crocker, and Tiny Gallon in that game. I know very little about Nebraska but what I know about OU does not make me overly confident in OU.

I think OSU has a better backcourt than OU. The thing I like about this game for OU is they will have a crowd (assuming OU fans do not sell their tickets to OSU fans).

I don't know anything about Tech other than Roberson and Singletary seem like solid players. I also know they will have a size advantage in the paint. This is the game I think OU has the best chance to win. If I had to pick a single game that OU will win this would be it. With that said, Tech beat OU in Norman last year.

I would put the over under number at 2.5. I think I would take the over barely. As bad as this conference is at the bottom it shouldn't be that low.

Here's the games I see as winnable

CU
Neb
at Iowa St
Tech, at Tech
OSU,at OSU

I bet we go around 2 or 3 out of 7 though.

I said in another thread that I saw 5 winnable games and that i thin kwe end up at 4 so i would have to take a push at 4

It sure is refreshing to see all the Capel fans explain why I am wrong. Blind faith is more than just a band.

Do you really believe the team that played MIGHTY Sac State last night has a LEGITIMATE chance to win 3 conference road games? Wow! DEFENSE! DEFENSE!

I'm predicting 0 conference wins. This is a terrible team. They struggle with really bad teams. The big 12 athletes will eat us alive. We have no inside game and guards that struggle shooting.

We will not go 0 -16. It will not happen.

Still looks like 2-14 to me. Nothing has changed.

The most probable wins at this point is CU at home. I also think we probably beat OSU at home.

So, I see 2 conference wins.

I also think we probably beat OSU at home.

Curious what you've seen from OSU to make you think this.

I think you're much more likely to beat Texas Tech, Nebraska and Colorado at home.

OSU's quality depth in the frontcourt is going to be a bad matchup for OU this year.

It has nothing to do with what we have seen from OSU, it has to do with the fact that almost every year no matter how good or bad either team is, they seem to split the home and home.

On paper you out class us every where on the floor, but rivalry games are a funny thing
