Out of bounds missed call

Well, the guy in the audio (Jeff Goodman) admitted this morning that rule doesn't exist. ESPN trying to get those clicks!

with ESPN i would assume ignorance over intentionally misstating a rule to get clicks

I assume you mean the 3-ft rule. If so, yes, I was not aware of it.

Mason still should have drawn a warning from the ref for crossing the plane but such is life in AF. Might not have mattered.

Rule 7, Section 6, Article 9.b: "No opponent of the thrower-in shall have any part of his person over the inside plane of the boundary line."

Mason clearly violated the rule. The ref should have, at a minimum, reset the throw in, warned Mason to back off, and let the throw in happen legally. But what's done is done. I'll dwell on it no longer.

And the video shows his toe across the boundary line so KU clearly broke the rule. You don't even need to speculate about his arms crossing an imaginary plane.

He's supposed to be back 3 feet but people act like that plane is so easy to officiate in real time as the defender is jumping up and down.

We played extremely well and showed great heart and passion. They did, too, and they won because we had too many bad possessions on offense. It's almost certainly the best basketball game I've ever seen. Getting all wound up about a close call at the end of the game because it didn't go our way -- a call that is never called, by the way -- seems pretty pointless to me.

Actually they won because they got 13 free throws. it is unclear if they could have scored enough to win without the free throws. Perhaps but one team was forced to convert on offense and the other was forced to convert at the free throw line. You do realize they only scored 15 points in that OT.

If they call the 2 goaltends they missed or 1 of them we win in regulation. If they don't call the double T I think we win in the 3rd OT because Woodard fouled out with 2 minutes left and when he left they were able to double down on Buddy because they didn't have to worry about Woodard who was hot.
