Malik Hairston. Your right, he never did that much at Oregon.
Probably Ernie Kent's fault...Hairston plays in the NBA now.

Playing about 7 minutes a game.I was about to say... He plays for the Spurs making 734,000 a year.

I would love to play 7 minutes a game in the NBA and make 736 K doing it.
I just hope the expectations being heaped on him to come be a kind of off the court savior don't set him up for failure.
He'll help, but we need more recruits like him.
I wasn't talking on the court. I meant it appears people are expecting him to come and change/fix everything that might be wrong on the 'attitude' side of the program.I don't think anybody has any expectations for him other than to come to OU and play his game.
Heck, a lot of people don't seem to think he should have gotten a scholarship to a Big 12 institution, so it seems to me like they have zero expectations of him.
He will do fine. If he's as intelligent and level-headed as it sounds the kid will be just fine and 4 years from now we will be thankful we got him.
That Oregon Guard never did near as much as anyone thought he would do in college also. We were lucky to have Godbold instead.
I happen to be an assist. coach at PCW so I am proud so see the positive support given for Tyler. Honestly to just say he is a great kid is not even doing him justice. Just a few facts about Tyler: 6'6, 215, he ave. about 18.5 pts a game, shot 64% from 2, 42% from 3, and 79% from the line, 8.3 rebounds. He has a 36 inch vert. last tested over a year ago. The one thing I think is interesting about his upside is he just turned 17 in Oct. His oldest brother is 6'8 250, and Tyler is bigger than he was at the same age. I think he could grow another 2-3 inches. The other aspects that has not been put out there is that Tyler was recruited by other schools besides ORU. Tyler made it pretty clear in the beginning that he really wanted to try and stay in Oklahoma. He got calls from schools like Sienna, Bucknell, USC, Vanderbuilt, Marquette, but like I previously stated he told those schools he wanted to stay close to home. He also keep his recruiting very private so many people didn't see how many schools were actually contacting him. I know that my opinion is a little bias but I think this is a great signing as a Sooner fan!
