PG position next year.

Trae will be coming back and then when he leaves after next season we have a new, good pg coming in.

Shepherd will start, probably a JUCO to back him up.

What’s that old saying about “great minds”? ;)

Here's what happens in my scenario ... we reach the elite eight or sweet 16 and lose. Trae decides to come back to get us back to the final four.

Otherwise we win the ncaa's and I dont care if he leaves at that point because I will still be in a high for a few years after we win.

We win 1 and he comes back to win 2 in a row..with EVERYONE back but KL.:woot

Little surprised no one is mentioning our signee Bienemy and the great senior year he's having assist wise.

Jordan Shepard. And he'll have a good yesr.

I don't mean to be a "Debbie-Downer", but that option is not very comforting right now. Jordan is a great asset to the program, but he appears to be a role player. I think Lon makes a run at a grad transfer.

Thanks Atlanta. What about outside shooting? I like the fact he may be an option. Also, how are his handles?

I saw a video of Khavon Moore and even though at 6-8 plays like a guard. Distributes and really looks fluid handling and penetrating. I wonder if he signs if he could play point some.

He will be a junior. A year older, stronger, and better. He will do fine. He will be a 10 point 5 assist guy. Scoring will come from others like Doolittle, James, McGusty and Manek.

OU is getting such an incredible scoring surge from TY at the point that when he leaves it's going to leave a massive vacuum. I hear you on the other guys, but none of those guys are ready to take on Trae's points as of right now, even spread around. I realize they have another year to grow, but there will need to be some HUGE jumps in scoring and overall game from these guys. ANd, a point guard that can set them up. Manek has tremendous scoring potential and hopefully a guy like K Moore can come in and explode scoring wise....

Bienemy is SG. I'd be surprised to see him transition to Starting Big12 PG as a Freshman. My guess is that if he does play the point for us is that he will back up Shep as a Freshman.

Well, Lon's apparently offered/reached out to 2 top 50 PGs for 2018 to see if they are interested in replacing Trae.
Probably long shots, but with all the media attention OU is getting it's worth a shot.
with OU taking Khavon not sure how OU will make it work if one of those PGs decide to choose OU.

There's probably at least one transfer on this roster.

Regarding Point Guards ...

2019 Class: 4-Star PG DeVion Harmon (6-0; 190; Denton, TX) ... Committed to OU.
2020 Class: 4-Star PG Bryce Thompson (6-2; 170; BTW; Tulsa, OK) ... OU is recruiting.

2018 Class? Which 2 point guards has OU offered? Thanks.
