I wish the young man all the best. When he got into the game late against Ole Miss in Round 1 of the Dance, we were all cheering him on in the stands whenever he got the ball down low...went nuts when he scored.

Does anyone know the last time OU had a year which we didn't lose a single scholarship player for any reason other than they exhausted their eligibility? I bet it hasn't happened more than twice in the past 25 years...but don't remember when it last happened at all.

You always hate when this happens... coaches make a mistake that cost the player time and experience. If I was offered by Duke my assumption would be that they thought I could play, but then I get there and learn I can't compete with these guys and they want me to ride the pine full time..

I can't pretend to know, of course, but I'd be willing to bet that Polla has no regrets. He seemed to enjoy his time in Norman, he got to hone his skills (albeit in practice, mostly) against players who are at a higher level and now, a better player for it, he'll drop down a level or two and get playing time. I'm guessing his memories of his time at OU will be positive ones.

Duh. OU thought Polla could help but he couldn’t. They needed bulk in the middle but he wasn’t good enough. He seemed to be treated well, got an education for free, is allowed to leave freely. Don’t know why you’d attack the coaching staff over that.
