You can't see it in this view of the video, but in the one they showed on SportsCenter, it was awesome to see how happy Jordan was. I honestly don't know that I've ever seen him crack a smile since he's been here before last night. Just doesn't really show a whole lot of emotion ever. But he was all smiles last night, it was pretty cool.

I was very happy for Jordan Woodard. He is a very good college basketball player and does not deserve all the criticism he gets from OU fans. He is going to be exceptional by his senior year, especially if he improves his three point shooting. His three point shooting is the only thing holding him back. If he were a 35% three point shooter, he might be the toughest pg to defend on penetration. Right now teams don't have to respect his 3 point shot and he still gets to the paint and the line. If that defender had to tighten up, he would likely draw a lot more fouls.
And ironically, his late 3 last night may have been the biggest shot in the game. He's capable, he's just got to start taking them when he gets them.
BTW, and unless my math is bad, he's shooting 38% from 3 in conference

for the season ..Woodard is .375 from the field .260 from 3 ..
booker is .330 from the field and .295 from 3
in conf play .. Woodard is .406 from the field and .385 from 3 .. pretty good stuff .. and fyi .860 from the FF line
booker is .351 overall and up to .357 from 3 in conf play .. and .875 from the line ..
they are both good 3 point shooters that for different reasons (Woodard slump booker injury) got off to terrible shooting starts this season ..

Very nice post, Boulder! Woodard was soundly criticized for his inability to knock down shots early on. And, with good reason. His shooting percentage from the field, especially from three point range, were abysmal. We all knew he was a better shooter, because he shot a very respectable 37% from three last year. Now, he doing it, and that's a very good sign for OU!

I never had a problem with a little criticism, but many (and maybe not on this board) questioned whether he was a D1 player. That's just stupid and uncalled for IMO
Those people are ridiculous. He started for Big XII Tournament team as a true freshman. He is way beyond a question of whether or not he belongs in D-I. Anyone that starts at a Big XII school as a true freshman is clearly a D-I level player.
