Yes, this information is correct. This will be the third of his Official visits with a prior visit to Western Kentucky. Josh is geniunely excited about these upcoming visits.

Man up Jeff! Look at how Oklahoma propects have delivered for you.

why doesnt Capel offer Josh or matthew christiansen?? Why did he not go after Spangler?

Josh was holding out for a high major offer. With TCU now part of the Big East and Missouri State establishing itself as the best team in one of the top 5 basketball conferences, he basically has the offers that he wanted.

Post on the main rivals recruiting board asking Bossi why Richardson isn't more highly recruited. Here's his response:

"I don't get it either. With the lack of quality available players, I thought he'd have a lot more attention and I've brought him up to many schools who have called looking for players. I think his upside is big, with his length, skill level and athleticism. Not to mention, he's a full year young for the class of 2011 and should be 2012 by age.

Only thing I heard is that some thought he was perhaps a bit soft and didn't play hard all the time, I've never personally seen that."

The guy has the size, athleticism and skill you look for, has a lot of potential being a year young for his class, and is an outstanding student off the court (and presumably a good kid all-around). I've never seen him play, so maybe there is an issue with him being not tough enough for major conference basketball. But I wouldn't be at all surprised if he ends up making someone extremely happy.

He needs to bulk up but when I've watched him this year but he plays with good intensity when I've watched him. Lots of good versatility too with nice bounce and solid quickness to go with a good wingspan.

If a third scholarship is open, it should go to Richardson.

FYI according to Bossi today, USC, Ole Miss and Mizzou have been in contact with Richardson lately (but nothing from OU or OSU). Combine that with TCU and Providence and it looks like Richardson will eventually have a handful of major conference offers to choose from.

He's an interesting prospect. Plus athlete with a good motor. His shot is pretty funky and he is on the skinny side. I've seen him get after it on defense though and he is every bit of 6'4.

I'd like to take a chance at him if Capel's got the 'ship.

I really don't know what to make of Mizzou's interest in him. If McLemore goes to kansas, he may be the next best player left for us, in which case I'd gladly bring him in. But I still think McLemore's a legit possibility for Mizzou and don't know how I feel about signing both (and there's been zero indication of how Anderson plans to use our third scholarship).

2011 really is not a good year to go from one scholarship to three late in the process. It's a weak class overall, let alone when you're trying to fill a spot or two you weren't expecting to come open. And we can't really just bank the scholarship, either, because we're already giving out at least six in 2012.

To be honest, he's a perfect fit for Anderson's system. He's not the scorer McLemore is, but he sure is a "40 minutes of hell type athlete". Kid is extremely quick, athletic and relentless defensively almost to a fault as the three games I've been to this year he's been in early foul trouble.

Sometimes they put him at center court in their 1-2-1-1 press and he's a beast running down passes (lobs) that area trying to beat the press. He also jumps a lot of passing lanes for steals and layups/dunks. At least three times every game I watch him play.

His handles are really good and his perimeter game is evolving at a very nice pace from when I saw him last year. That shot isn't that fluid, but it goes in enough to keep the defense honest. Kind of reminds me of JR Giddens some in that regard (shot form and size and build really although not quite as thick yet). Plus, he's just a good kid who managed to somehow play with a certain flair while not being cocky. He's also only 17 so he's a good year younger than most seniors and dominating them.

If he goes to Missouri we'll be cussing the fact we didn't make a run at him on this board in two years. Again, I'm not saying he's McLemore. He can't score like that, but he can sure as hell guard a kid like McLemore and give him fits with his length and quickness. And his offensive game isn't too shabby either.

He'd be a very nice consolation prize for Missouri, or anyone for that matter, if they don't get McLemore. BTW, this is coming from an Edmond Memorial guy.

He's #20 in these videos...

I've watched both of those (the first one multiple times) and am convinced he could play at this level and would be a good fit for Anderson. I'm just not convinced he'd be a great use of our third scholarship.

I would hate to sign him and him to be just good enough to convince someone like Archie Goodwin that playing time at Mizzou will be limited (I know UK and UNC fans all think Goodwin will end up there, but he's an Arkansas kid who constantly talks about Joe Johnson as his idol; that's an in for Anderson no one else can really match).

I think Mizzou would be a great fit for him because he could play on athleticism until he gets the hang of big12 basketball. Anderson loves recruiting oklahoma.

Richardson's actually the first player from Oklahoma that Anderson's taken a serious look at since coming to Mizzou (and I'm still not sure how serious this look is).

That's not true. He's just the first player you know about. Anderson evaluates Tulsa all the time.
