What is so worthless about the reseeding argument, is how people want to pretend like the last two weeks didnt happen. People want to look at the seeds out next to the teams name (decided 3 weeks ago), and use that as the reseeding tool. Well if we are going to reseed it only seems fair that we should look at what the teams have done in the tournament. Usually the lower seeded teams that reach the final four have done more and had more impressive wins. Case in Point: Butler who has beaten 1 seed Syracuse and 2 seed Kansas State; along with WVU who has beaten 1 seed Kentucky; should probably be the top 2 seeds in the reseeded final four, anyway.
Duke's reward for being a #1 seed is an easy path to the Final Four, not an easy path in the Final Four. Why should a team like Butler be punished after clearing out the top seeds in the bracket because of the seed by their name, decided behind closed doors 3 weeks ago. Any argument for reseeding must throw out the seed numbers, and start-over based on what the teams have added to their resumes in the tournament.
