Davidson is a good team and very well coached but they played a brutal last two minutes. Had the lead but couldn’t stop fouling and giving Richmond three-point plays. Richmond didn’t shoot any threes down the stretch and kept getting three points anyway.

Davidson isn’t in yet either. They are behind ou in NET now.

Davidson is an absolute lock. They aren’t even in jeopardy of a play-in game.

Anyone outside the top 30 Net is not a lock. We have no idea what the committee will value in the end but the net is the most important metric.

20 of their 26 wins are quad 3/4 wins. They are only 4-3 against quad 2 now. They have some major warts.

I think Xavier bubble burst. Or Rutgers. Or Michigan. Or ND. Or San fransciso.

OU could be out but I still think we’re in. At least until 5 pm today.

San Fran is safely in IMO. ~20 in net and kenpom.

I think we'll be more safely in than expected for some reason, that many q1&2 wins with a top 5 sos is huge

Yep I think ou is ahead of x Rutgers Indiana and Michigan.

Happens every selection sunday, high major teams get in with a great sos and the great records of mid majors don't

Who did you play and where... I think OU is in.

Have to beat enough of those teams. Not sure that we did. We'll find out soon enough. I just pray our name comes up early … don’t think my heart can take it otherwise.

Have seen several late top 68 and bubble and OU is nowhere to be found.
Like our team but certain it's an NIT year.
If that's what we get, let's hope the team get support at any home games and puts a lot of effort in their play.

Well, I agree they will be hosting an NIT game, but wouldn’t hold my breath on getting fan support for it. Good chance OU is 1 seed, playing an 8 seed, so you’re talking about a team like Princeton or Towson or someone along those lines. Have a very hard time seeing them getting people to that game.

Several years ago, we hosted an NIT opening-round game. The fan support was very good because they sold the tickets first come first serve without the no-show donors being able to get all the good seats. Unfortunately, the NIT people lied once again. They told us if we won the first game we would get the second game at home. Nope, we had to travel.

2004…our fans showed up and we beat LSU…but the NIT Committee wanted Michigan to win it (and they did). Now, it all goes by seeds, but I don’t follow it too closely since we haven’t been in this game since 2004. If the higher seed automatically gets the home game (I honestly don’t know), then we could get up to three home games.

I remember back in 1991 when Stanford beat us in the NIT title game, and their players were all jumping all over each other in celebration. We may as well take it seriously and try to win it!

As for the thread title, Richmond burst Dayton’s bubble, and Virginia Tech burst ours. No point in griping…we just needed one more win…same thing happened in 1993.
