Currently as it sits we have 6 scholorships to give...thats with WW coming back, Allen coming back, Gallon coming back, and hardick coming back

We have 3 scholorships filled
Future roster is as follows

1) WW
2) Davis
3) clark
4) Fitz
5) Gallon

Bench:
1/2) tj taylor
2) Pledger
3) Neal

The other 3 scholorships we have to sign someone...We desperately need another pg and we need to sign two pf's

looking at the year after next we would prob only have these scholorships to give out:
1) ww's 2) allen's 3) cade's 4) probably gallon's

So if this played out liked this that would be benefitially.. we could get enough guys in this year to be successfull while still having 3-4 scholorships to give out to the year after nexts talent

I believe in order to be successfull you have to bring in 3-4 players almost every year to atleast have new faces...to push the veterans and to just keep things fresh

*scholarships

Lol, I know, I always mispell things....I am a engineering mind (math guy) with an engineering job so I am not required to spell things without spell check to often except on here!

I think our best defensive lineup is having WW at point cade at the 2 and clark at the 3...I think WW can play the point if he gets the oppertunity...I wouldnt mind seeing him there

After last season, I have 0 confidence in Fitz and Gallon becoming any faster with their feet which would allow them to be better on defense under the basket. God I hope they prove me wrong but I still feel like we need a true center.

Cade is not going to the bench. He is our heart and soul.

If it made us a better team, Cade would come off the bench every game and love every minute of it. I don't think we have to force him into the starting lineup because we love him so much...it's going to be about getting the best lineups out there at all times.

thats what im saying. so there are 3 options.

1)warren plays pt, cam starts, neal backup

2)we get another pt and warren plays sg,cade sf, cam backkup, neal never sees floor and waistes yr

3)we get another pt and warren plays sg, cade sf, cam backup, neal redshirts

i dont see why we'd go w option 2

After a 13 win season, everyone's minutes are up for grabs...even Cade's.

As pnk said, if Cade has to come off the bench, he would...bet Cade just wants to win again.

This doesn't make sense.

It's not like you have 2 people at every position and then nobody else ever plays that spot.

We could have a starting lineup with juco PG, WW, Cade, Tiny, Aziz (for example).

And then when juco PG goes out, have WW, Cade, Clark, Tiny, Aziz.

And then if Cade goes out have WW, Clark, Neal, Tiny, Aziz.

You can shuffle lineups.

According to your philosophy, we would have had a starting lineup this year of TMG, WW, Crocker, Tiny, Wright, and then Pledger is wasting a year because Cade was WW's backup at SG, so Pledger would never see the floor.

In my opinion, in the current times with all of the one and done players and early exit players, it just does not make sense to have a player be an ordinary red shirt. There is just too much turnover to have one scholarship tied up in someone who doesn't have the opportunity to play. The red shirt deal should be saved for medical red shirts and for transfers.

If you make a guy red shirt, you potentially cheat him out of a year of playing time if he decides he needs to transfer in order to get playing time.
