Told that Oklahoma and Oregon played a close one. Christian James led Sooners in scoring. Lattin, Woodard and Doolittle also played well.

Omg. Info. :dance005:

Nice!

I have no doubt that James is going to be the man this year.

I know it's a rule. What are they protecting with that rule. Are schools concerned about the effects a scrimmage had on recruiting? Ranking? Reputation?

It's apparently not THAT private. Jeff Goodman is getting tons of info including a recently released box score of one. I don't doubt that they don't let anybody in to watch. But the info, in whatever form, gets out....

because if not we will be put on double secret probation and lose our birthdays.

James had 32 or so. We won after being down 17 in the second half. No spectators at all in the gym. 3 Pac 10 refs called the game.

Oregon didn't play Dillon Brooks because he has a broken foot. Buford and Strong weren't able to play for us.

Starting 5 was Lattin, Woodard, Odomes, James and Doolittle. Doolittle is better than recruiting rankings. Bench was Jamuni, CJ, Freeman, McGusty and Shepard.

Wow. Thanks as always Dad. Any other stats you care to share? How many did Doolittle and Odomes have?

As always, great info, vbdad! We all appreciate it. I did chuckle a bit where you said: "Doolittle is a little better than recruiting rankings". Since Coach Kruger has been here, I believe every single player he signed directly out of high school has turned out better than his high school ranking, and that includes the guys who've transferred out. Still, it never gets old to hear that. I think we're all looking forward to watching these guys play. Thanks again!

Great update vbdad. Do you know what's wrong with Buford and Strong? I'm sure it's something minor. The devil in me is curious how Pritchard did for Oregon. Did he start?

Thanks for the recap on our scrimmage in Vegas and for giving us our first look at the likely starting lineup when the season tips off, vbdad! The 32 or so James put on the scoreboard could also be a sign that he may lead the team in that category this season. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he does. He's going to be a load!

EDIT: I found an article in March announcing the scrimmage, but couldn't locate a postgame blip or the box score I was hoping to find:

Don't look now but Oregon is #5 in the first AP poll.

Oklahoma is gonna surprise people.

I'm not crazy about that 17-point deficit (yikes), but I'm very pleased with the comeback win. It seems likely that Oregon let down once they got up by such a wide margin, but good for our guys for keeping after them and not just making a game of it but pulling off the victory.
