There are two things that stood out about Quinnipiac. First, they are a senior-laden team. Secondly, they barely outrebounded some rather weak opposition. I wonder if we won't be able to dominate the boards?

My thought also after taking a look at their roster. Their tallest girl is 6-4. Only one of them, the rest of their decent-size (over 6 foot) are 6-0 or 6-1.

Yeah, I'd be shocked if we aren't able to have our way with them inside.

This all I'm going to say about our first round match up. The Bobcats are from the same conference that Marist participates. Lets not forget the abomination we had at Marist last year. The Bobcats have been a solid team with a 19 year veteran coach. If we only spend 50 percent of our time in practice preparation for them in anticipation of playing Stanford, don't be surprised if we get our butts beat. In our favor, we play them on a neutral court. I do think we are more than talented to win this game, but it will be closer than we may think. Just my honest opinion.

Looking at individual box scores, I can't detect what causes their games to be close. Sometimes, it appears to be rebounding. Another time, it is turnovers or bad shooting. There is no definitive pattern. It does seem to me that a team that didn't lose in their conference should have more than a 1.2 rebounds per game advantage..

Hey Syb, I'm with you, I just don't want to take any thing for granted. If our kids will come out with a purpose and play hard nosed defense it should be a good win. We just can't look past the Bobcats. I think Sherri will have them ready to play. I look for Gabbi and Kaylon to have really solid games.

I doubt the Bobcats will be able to guard Carter and Sharane either.

Our shooting is what worries me, followed by our movement.

In the other thread I went back and looked at our shooting percentages for the last 10 games. Average is probably the best, most forgiving adjective for our shooting. Some would definitely say below average, particularly behind the ark.

Second thing is movement, or the lack thereof, which is the actual precursor to our shooting woes.

If we don't snap out of it on Saturday, we'll be coming home pretty quickly and it will be extremely disappointing to everyone.

Focus, play hard, move, get free, take open shots.

Win, get this one under your belt, build your confidence and then play like you did that first 8 games of the conference season.

Come On ladies!

We can't afford an average game. We aren't good enough to do so.
