You apparently didn't search too hard. There are Mizzou influences all over each of those networks. Off the top of my head, Chuck Roberts was at CNN for nearly 30 years (retired last year, though), Major Garrett was one of the top political reporters at Fox News for the past decade, Russ Mitchell is one of the anchors for CBS news, John Anderson, Michael Kim, Pat Forde, David Ubben and about two dozen others work at ESPN.
Print journalism isn't dead. It's taken some hits, but nowhere near what cable news networks have seen (which have seen a decline in viewership over the past couple years significantly greater than the percent decline in newspaper readership). The shift has been to online media (no surprise), which is still journalism.
You go to any major newsroom in the country and you will find Mizzou alumni working there.
