Posted on Sooner Scoop seems to think so. Of course, this poster calls him "Stevie Johnson" so maybe that's all we need to know.

Sam? William?

Some will call it sour grapes, but I don't think I'd want him at this point.

I doubt if there is a word of truth in the post you read. I've said for sometime that Stevie's mother is the key to where he'll end up. The quote in this article would appear to give OSU the inside track.

Dorshell Clark left no mystery to her preference for her son.

“I think OSU would be best for him, and I like the idea of him being close,” she said. “They have my vote. They know it. He knows it. But I'm leaving it up to him. I want him to be comfortable enough to make his decision.

“And I hope it's soon. I want life to go back to normal.”

Stevie will make his own call.

Haven't heard a lot of Stevie news lately. I do know. He won't sign till Spring and reports are recruiting is taking a toll on him. OU will not be in the equation.

The article in the Oklahoman a couple days ago says hes going to decide very soon between OSU and Baylor

That may be. A good source told me he won't sign till the spring, but things change often with Stevie so the article might be correct......

Don't know when he will sign but we have been out of it since it became clear that mom had her hand out.
If there was any question you only have to look who OSU is competing against. Baylor is going to make it cost a lot more for him to wind up in Stillwater. Too bad because the kid can play.

Do we have any hard or anecdotal evidence- other than being recruited by ford and drew which is really all we need to know- about his mom having her hand out? I have osu and baylor fans saying its sour grapes, but something seems fishy here.

Is the mom gonna push the younger son to OSU as well? I'd rather have Deondrei on the football team than Stevie on the basketball team.

Sam is correct, Stevie will make his own call. That is the reason OSU has been one of the leaders as opposed to UCLA and Missouri that have outside factors that give them more advantages than OSU.
