I ran into Crutchfield and Hill yesterday at Jersey Mike's. I asked how they liked their chances with Thomas. I got nothing. Less than nothing. They got real quite.

I'm just trying to make a read here. But, I'll take OU and give you Miami.

I'm not clear that a private conversation is an NCAA violation. But, I'll make you a deal. If the staff commits a violation in my presence, I won't post it on the internet or report it to the NCAA.

Interesting. And they know you and see you around the team at practices, so they're comfortable with you. Something made them put up the caution sign.

I don't know how to read it except they didn't want to discuss ongoing recruting with you ..... and I know you have visited with them about Cunningham, Goodman, et al before. But those were guys that OU was no longer in the picture for. Thomas must be seriously in play.

Jelon has narrowed his choices down to Monmouth, Colorado St. and Houston according to Jeff Goodman.

It would be a nice trade if we were able to land Thomas and gave them Jelon in return.

actually it is very clear .. staff can't not talk to any booster about a prospective recruit ..

Are you dense? I reported that I got no information and no NCAA violation occurred. I often get something good. When I do, I pass it along to friends and family and a handful of non mushroom poster's on the board through PM.

No. It doesn't change it. But, don't confuse his speculative musings as fact. This may be hard for die hard fans to grasp. But, it is likely that I was the only one in the place that had a clue as to who they were.

Having a conversation with an OU assistant, in this or any other era, in a public place is a pretty anonymous encounter.
