OU will learn tomorrow if Thomas is going to be eligible. Milton is
supposed to give them his decision tomorrow also but his AAU coach,
the same one who has already sent a kid to Indiana, is in his ear.
The AAU coach is hoping to benefit with a job.

Friday just became a huge day! Here's hoping for some good news...

Thanks for the heads up, ouleopard!

My blood boils when I hear stories about the influence AAU coaches have on some of these kids, especially when they're hoping to get a job out of the deal. Something is definitely wrong with that picture!

While I want Shake to pick OU, I'm fine with whatever he decides, as long as his family and his high school coach are the ones who are guiding his thoughts.

A curious question. If you could only have one of these two outcomes, which would you rather come true?

> Thomas is immediately eligible

or

> Shake Milton commits to OU

Thomas eligible.
Never trade a potential big season down the road with Shake

for a real big season with Thomas.

Shake is probably the better answer, but if all falls into place this season and Thomas is as good as advertised, it could be a magical season. So at this moment I want Thomas.

I like Shake's potential but I like this season's potential with Thomas a bit more.

Say buddy stays... Add shake and Manyang to everyone back except DJ!! SPECIAL

But I get your point!

I agree. OU would be loaded. Lattin might get huge minutes this year and then be OU's third big. Buford, Mayang and Shake would be adding a lot.

They would have it all. Depth, experience (4 seniors) Height (Manyang) imagine this lineup

PF: Tayshawn Thomas
PF: Spangs
SG: Buddy
Wing: Cousins
PG: Jordan

Booker
Buford (RS freshman eligible)
Manyang
Lattin
McNease (gonna keep improving)
Shake
Walker
Odomes

It would be a competition every day to get minutes. So many guys they could run 12-13 deep (assuming everyone stays and the young bigs grow immensely this year)

Even if buddy goes... Next year can still be special. Cousins wants to be a star and I think he'll be one after buddy leaves either grad or NBA.

I might be in the minority but i don't want Thomas eligible this year. I want him to redshirt and come back next year. Next years team looks awesome with or without Hield. If we could add Shake, that would be a huge plus. And not to mention, Some reason I have a gut feeling that the other Woodard is going to transfer to OU.

But if Thomas is eligible now, that would be great too.

Problem with this theory is the scholarship count. If Thomas has to wait till next year then probably NO SHAKE because we are out of schollies.

It's impossible to keep 13 good players happy with playing time. Especially when only 8-9 are in the "regular rotation" which most teams get to by tournament time. Hornbeak wasn't happy with 15-20 minutes/game last year. Can you imagine Thomas, Spangler, Manyang, Lattin, Buford, and McNease all fighting for time at the 2 post positions? Attrition happens.....
