Agreed. If Shake picks OU, his spot on our roster is secure, even if Thomas is not cleared to play this season.

The potential roster Laxtothemax12 posted above makes me downright giddy with excitement. Talk about competition for playing time next season! Kruger's biggest problem may be finding enough minutes for a slew of very talented players. That's a "problem" we haven't enjoyed in years.

The problem is the NCAA only represents the schools. Just like the commissioner in the NFL only represents the owners. NFL players have the players association to fight for their interests. College players have nothing. Pretty amazing they are just now putting in place the foundation of a union. Should have happened long ago.

Shake, no matter how good, isn't going to adequately replace Buddy next year. However, we could be better, or as good, in the post next year with Manyang instead of Thomas. It would be really tough to play all of the posts next year if Thomas comes back. Spangler. Thomas. Manyang. Lattin. McNeace. Buford (3/4).

Yes, I agree with this. Thomas is just what we need THIS YEAR, whereas there could almost be too many post players on the roster next season if he has to redshirt.

I would love to sign Shake, but there are lots of other good guard recruits out there. Early in the recruiting process, we never heard of Cousins or Booker, yet they are good D-1 players. I am not worried about LK and his staff finding guards that can play at a high level.
