TCU looks to be much improved. They are 8-0 with wins over:

> Ole Miss
> Mississippi State
> Bradley
> Washington State

The Horned Frogs are doing their part to strengthen the RPI of the Big-12 Conference. Getting road wins in Fort Worth will be more difficult.

NOTE: Texas Tech (5-1) and West Virginia (7-1) each have one loss. Both teams lost close games to LSU, with Texas Tech losing in Overtime on the road in Baton Rouge.

They returned almost everyone and fields is healthy. Zeigler is eligible.

That collins kid got clocked in that game. I think he got knocked out. His head hit the floor hard.

K-State looks like the only really bad team this year in the conference. Big XII is going to be an absolute bloodbath, and we are going to stack the top of the RPI, like we did in football the year we went 29-1 non conference. (2011, I think).

Interesting that they picked up a stud big man last year from Dallas. Karviar Shepherd. Legit top 75 recruit with offers from Kansas, UCLA, Texas & OU. There is no reason TCU shouldn't improve in hoops. With those idiot Aggies leaving the Big XII (Texas) conference their loss will be TCU & Baylor gain in all sports.

K-State?

They might not be as good as they have been, but I wouldn't call them "bad." They are 4-3, but have played a pretty tough schedule.

Texas Tech, although improved, is clearly the worst team in the conference.

Exactly...they might have the 2016 POY in Marcus Foster. Big XII is going to be ROUGH this year.

Big 12 will definitely be a Bloodbath, anyone can beat anyone in this conference there are no bad teams, Win at home and figure out a way to win 5 of nine road games, this will be a lot of fun to watch throughout the year.

aTm has a great recruiting class this year. Better then any big 12 team so far.

I see that. The same could be said for football and they are a 7-5 pile of garbage as always. When all is said & done the basketball recruits in this class likely is full of warts because no sane intelligent basketball player with better options would ever select gomer.

no doubt tech is the worst team ..

second to last will be either osu tcu or kstate

Here's my take on it -- in my mind any of these teams can finish in any order within the tier they're divided into. So, TCU could be 5, 6, or 7. OSU could be 8, 9, or 10.

Tier 1
Texas
KU
OU
Iowa State

Tier 2
Baylor
WVU
TCU

Tier 3
OSU
KSU <-- only coach in the league worse than Ford
Tech

I think weber is a really good coach, just a poor recruiter. I'm really surprised with their early struggles.

Exactly. He is a very good coach...bad coaches don't make it to the title game. He is following the same trend at KSU as he did with Illinois. He took over a KSU team with pretty good talent and got the most out of them. But as he starts to rely on his own players, things start going a bit south.

I still think TCU is playing way above their heads and will come back to earth. This is the way I see the conference shaking out.

1) KU
2) Texas
3) OU
4) ISU
5) Baylor
6) WVU
7) OSU
8) TCU
9) KSU
10) TTech

Doesn't a college coach have to components to his job. Recruiting and coaching. If you can only do have your job how are you really good at it.

That is true but I was only talking about coaching basketball. Even if you consider both aspects it's still a stretch to say he's worse than Ford.
