Will Tennessee adjust to Louisville's style of play better than Baylor did?

Will Louisville continue to shoot themselves to victory or will they shoot themselves out of contention.

Who wins this game and why?

Just a guess, but Louisville prepared a whole week for Hypocrite U. They won! There are only 2 days in between Hypocrite U and Tennessee and I don't know if they can come down off that high enough to adequately prepare for Tennessee. And I can't believe Louisville can go 16 of 25 on 3-pointers again, even if no one is on the court! Tennessee has talent and are good although I don't think they are near the ND/UConn/Hypocrite U level and think that they will slip past Louisville just based on Cardinals being emotionally gassed.

I think that it would be difficult to re-charge those emotional batteries in only 48 hours.

I look for Tenn. to advance. I doubt that Louisville can stay within 10 points of the Lady Vols.

I am quite uncertain. Louisville looked better than when I had seen them earlier this year. They have certain traits that bode well for this game. I don't think the Tennessee guard play will be a problem for them.

I am going with Tennessee only because I have not seen how Louisville will score if they don't hit sixteen threes.

^^^ THIS. Louisville caught lightning in a bottle last night. I strongly suspect that a blowout is in the making, as the emotional toll will manifest itself, to say nothing of the physical toll.

Tennessee is a taller, stronger team, and does not depend on one or two players as does Baylor.

Tennessee probably wins by 20+ would be my guess.

Now, Louisville COULD spring back-to-back upsets. Tennessee is beatable; WE could have beaten the Vols if we had not gone as eerily frigid from BTA as opposed to Louisville going "unconscious" from 3 point land.

It COULD happen. I just don't believe that it will...

I don't think Louisville can do it again. Their 3 pt shots were ridiculous. However, if L'Ville plays thug ball like they did against Baylor, it will set back the rather young Tennessee squad.

They will never shoot that high a percentage of three points shots again in the history of the program. They have had two days to think about the shooting so well, choke city baby.

I don't think Louisville can stop Tennessee from scoring inside because UT has a balanced center-forward offensive attack. Baylor really doesn't, which allowed the Louisville coach to use three to guard Grienr.

I also think Tennesse's guards -- as a tandem -- are better than Baylor's.

And Louisville is not going to shoot those threes the way they did us. Not going to happen.

Their 3's were positively uncanny on Sunday.

Boy,

I sure didn't see that coming. Louisville looks possessed.

The stats on this game seem dead even.

Fouls: both had 19
Turnovers: both had 15
Rebounds: tennessee wom 33-32
FG%: 45-44

Two big differences:
Three points: Louisville, 8 of 23, Tennessee 5 of 24
Free throws: Louisville 18 of 21 Tennessee 15 of 24

There are 12 points.

Louisville wasn't as unconscious from the 3 point line, but Tennessee played way to tight and dug too deep of a hole for themselves in the first half.

Wow, L'ville seems to be a team of destiny... at least until the Finals. Having knocked off Baylor and Tennessee, I am willing to concede that they have an excellent chance of beating Cal, too.

Beating the winner of the ND - UCONN game, though, I dunno.

The Cardinals are certainly making some believers out there, though.

I think that will be tougher just because the Big East will have 3 of the 4 Final Four spots and have played ND/UConn (not sure how many games) this year. If the Cards make the final, the ND/UConn winner will have knowledge that most other teams don't. If they shoot the way they did Sunday, they can beat anyone though.

It looks like Louisville has been under-rated. The Schimmel sisters are killing teams.
