Texas/Kansas also doing offseason tours

Do the Lawsons have to sit out this year? KJ played in one of the exhibition games.

It will be interesting to see how Texas does against the same Australian teams OU played.

Texas beat the Dandenong Rangers 96-84

Dandenong's starting five:

Joshua Oswald, 6' 7" Forward: Former Emporia State player
Lucas Barker, 6' 0" Point Guard: Former Indianapolis player
Timothy Lang, 6' 9" Center: Former Stetson player
Chauncy Orr, 6' 4" Swingman: Former Hawaii Pacific player
Brennan McElroy, 6' 7" Forward: Former Indianapolis player

**Orr and McElroy are from the U.S. The others are from Australia.

***According to the article OUHoops posted, Dandenong plays in the Australia State League, which is one level below the National Basketball League, Australia's top professional league.

anybody been keeping up with this? do they play any common teams?

I saw this morning that the lost to Melbourne United a team that is in the NBL. Not really sure, but it seemed that Melbourne United played a lot of their regular season players (their starters were 26-31 years old). They play Cairns on Friday morning at 4am. It will be interesting to see how they do against them!

Balderdash! We all know that Jayhawk recruits are fine, upstanding members of the community.

Of course. I feel sure his teammate broke his nose by running into a door or falling down a flight of stairs. He should be more careful.

We need to get back on the sweeping them train this year.

doesnt surprise me a bit. that Cairns team played some good ball. OU was just stellar offensively. they really were. that 2nd quarter was excellent.

I thought I read in another thread that Cairns had added two guys that were good that weren't there when we played them.

OU shot the ball really well over the four exhibitions. I have a hard time believing they will shoot that well in B12 conference play. I hope, but i'm realistic.

Just looking at the box scores it appears it was the same players except a guy named Carrerra, who scored a lot of points against Texas. All the other players were the same.

Gotta admit I didn't expect it to be that close against a team OU beat by 25. UT's win by 12 in their first game against a team that plays in the Australia State League, a level down from the NBL, wasn't all that impressive either. Maybe the preseason hype for the Longhorns is a bit premature.

UT preseason hype: same song, 30th verse.

This is the correct answer. OU has a good club.
