Oklahoma State 51
Texas 60

Kansas State 58
Iowa State 96

West Virginia 48
TCU 62

It seemed that they beat us on the boards a lot worse than 55-47.

We were a +3 boards in the 4th quarter. We were down 11 at the end of three.

I will try to get our recaps/articles/features/etc linked here during the rest of the season. Here's one from last night...

NORMAN — Trailing by as many as 14 in the third quarter, the Oklahoma women’s basketball team rallied for a 66-61 victory over Texas Tech in the teams’ Big 12 opener at Lloyd Noble Arena.

Sophomore Shaina Pellington scored 18 points to lead OU (5-7, 1-0 Big 12), and freshman Madi Williams grabbed 11 rebounds to go along with her 10 points. Freshman Taylor Robertson chipped in 17 points and sophomore Ana Llanusa added 11.

Would someone please explain to me why SC son is on the coaching staff? I have watched him this season and this kid is an embarrassment to OU, he doesn't seem to know what coaching is all about, during time outs he stands around just talking to players or other staff member, seems to be having a good time.

He needs to go and SC needs to get a real coach

I agree! He's a d-bag resting leaching off of his Mama's success. He in no way shape or form has any credit and earned his spot on the staff. I wish we had ex players like Jackson instead of him. I can't see what value he adds.

we looked very Rusty last night almost like it was one of our first games of the year. I agree with Sweetest when she says having such a tough pre-conference schedule, mostly on the road, did not do this young team any favors. We are going to have to scratch and claw out every win in this conference as none of these games are sure wins. I mean I thought if anyone would be an easy win in this conference it would be against Tech but that's shown to be not the case. I thought we would sweep Oklahoma State as well this year but I'm nervous about them too now.

I have no opinion about his coaching ability one way or another because I've never been to a practice, nor have I ever listened in on his conversations with players and other coaches. Has anyone else? Or are you just basing your opinions on pre-conceived notions?

Wow - Imagine being able to evaluate the ability of a coach without observing a practic but by watching him do the unpardonable talking to players and coaches during a timeout. And from a distance too.

Most people are given a fair trial to perform before being declared worthless.

I know nothing about the young man. He could be a coming star for all I know. And I am not a fan of nepotism. But we have him so maybe he deserves a chance.

As for the game, our inside weakness rears it's ugly head. We are going to be exploited all year there. Having said that Simpson was possibly the turning point with her 6 assists and hustle.

Kudos to Robertson for scoring 17 points in spite of our offense failing to get her open shots just as it has over the years for the likes of Hand and Ortiz. Most of the shots she missed were hurried and under pressure. Most of the ones she made were created by herself.

Good to have Ana back.

The Tech coach has a history of turning programs around, lately taking Minnesota to the NCAA. She has brought in 3 transfers and 3 JUCO's to bolster her squad. Just another program threatening to pass us by. They will be tough at their house.
