Always has talked about how he wants teams that run.

Zero fast break points. Frankly I am sick of the Capel system. Don't care what you call me. I dont care if anyone wants to flame me. He is a coach in way over his head.

This has been talked about over and over the last year and a half. There is no Capel System.

If you have inferior talent do you want more possessions or fewer possessions? Which gives you a better chance to keep it close and win?

Depends on what your talent is good at. Our talent can't rebound and can't defend so playing half court games to slow games down just won't work.

Well what IS our "talent" good at?

I'm not sure, but I know that playing half court ball isn't going to work against most teams we play. Especially with guards that just stand outside and shoot 3s.

Have to minimize possessions...not sure if that is the game plan or not, but that should be the goal.

We shoot way too early in the possession to really be called a team that slows games down to a crawl. I remember a lot of this game where we just get to half court pass it once then shoot a shot with 20 something seconds left on the clock and miss that shot.

The boo birds seem to wait for each loss with diligent anticipation. I don't post a lot on the men's board because the attitude seems to be one of constant criticism of any coach or player rather than being supportive of the team. Just a couple of years ago, everyone hated Kelvin, and he was the biggest crook ever at OU. Now, the attacks are on Capel. Who is next? There will, after all, be a next, whenever it comes.

Probably the next time a coach puts a team like this on the floor consistently.

There was hatred for Kelvin but it was far less and not justified because we were winning a lot more. Right now we aren't winning and don't really have a good style. Of course you would be on the womens forum right now because they play a watchable style of ball as women's basketball can get and they are well coached and have good players.

The boo birds have been out here with a lot of wins also.

Syb, this is not the typical "show up after a loss" we grew accustomed to on OUI. Take a close look at many of the fans who are unhappy with the free-fall our program is in right now, and you'll see that we're the same people who defended Kelvin against all-comers, and then welcomed Jeff with open arms five years ago.

Those "boo birds," as you call us, are complaining because we're concerned. I get sick to my stomach when I think about where we were two years ago compared to where we are now. And to be honest, I don't see us pulling out of this anytime soon. You have no idea how much it hurts me to say that.

Ada it hurts a lot of us. I get sick to my stomach thinking about how quickly we have gone from the 3rd best team in the conference since the big 12 started to the worst.

FIFY

We were the 2nd best program, hands down.

Your darn right I was waiting for a loss. I was not going to come out here and get excited about a win against sw central Arkansas ATM and maryland eastern panel northern jersey shore vocational school.

Capel has no system
He has failed to recruit
His teams don't rebound
His teams don't play defense
He has judged horribly on character

All this from a top 30 program and a coach that is paid quite a bit of money. I will not ask for your forgiveness nor your permission to post that this program is in a tailspin.

You're right... we should have been hear patting each other on the back after beating Maryland Eastern Shore. Im surprised the board wasnt in a frenzy of excitement after that one.

that one wasn't as big as beating Central Arkansas. At least UCA produced Scottie Pippen...name me an NBA star from Maryland Eastern Shore?

You can't...see, UCA was a bigger win.
