Two words: John Blake

Bad comparison. John Blake had never been a successful head coach (or a head coach at all for that matter) on any level.

Terry Evans has done well everywhere he's been, it wouldnt exactly be that type of hire.

Not saying that would be my first choice, but hes not too far down the list. TE would succeed here in my opinion, and certainly couldnt do much worse than the last guy.

Regardless of what a few clowns on a message board think, Terry Evans knows his stuff, is a tireless worker and recruiter, and has a love and a fire for The University of Oklahoma that few can match. IMO, hes the type of hire that wouldnt wow anyone around here at first, but would unite the fan base and put butts in the seats really quick.

We could do a whole lot worse than Terry Evans.

Very good post. Share many of the same thoughts as well. Especially the inaccurate John Blake comparisons.... Blake never knew how to lead a program at any level.

Yes that would be accurate because

A) John Blake won multiple state championships as a player,and as a coach in HS -- NOT --Oh yeah, John Blake had never been a head coach before his hire, much less win anything as a head coach.

B) John Blake was a successful D2 coach before taking the job--Oh yeah, John Blake DID NOT coach as head coach before being named OUs coach...

C) THERE IS NOTHING TO COMPARE ON THE 2 HIRES!!
