This team has no upside or potential. Zero, nada, zilch.

When was the last time OU started a season 3-5? Arizona built a 10 point lead by the 17 minute mark and have led by double digits and 20+ ever since. They just dont even have a chance. They can't do any thing.

Thats the kicker with this team... You would think a team that sucks really bad might get better as the season goes along. I really dont think this team will. They dont have athletes, they dont have shooters, they dont have size, and they dont have tremendously talented players that can gel and potentially get better.

At least last years team (who won 13 games) had legit young talent and kept you hoping that they would put it together and get a lot better.

This team has no potential, at all. What we see today is pretty much what we are going to look like all year.

*Note, as I type this Arizona just cleared their bench and have all the walk-ins playing, up 23 points and the crowd begging some clown to shoot, as if they are playing Coppin State in November*

is cameron clark good? he acts as if he has no idea that he has any talent. i don't know if it is because he is not good or he just needs some swagger or what, but he has been absolutely invisible this year. it is the biggest surprise/disappointment to me.

I don't see any reason at all to give Capel that chance. Every single one of these guys is someone he thought could help OU basketball. If you're at the point where you have that much dead weight that you need to start cutting ties, there's really only one guy that needs to be cut loose.

cade and fitz did well, at least on the offensive end. if fitzgerald had any athleticism or explosiveness, he would be an absolute stud. as it is he is still a very good player.

I don't think this team has the talent to make either postseason tourney but a better coach would make them more competitive.

There are too many little things his teams have NEVER done in five years (rotate, block out, weakside help, etc).

They often say that terrific players don't make good coaches. More and more I believe that is true in this case.

The point is, things click at differnt times for differnt players. To say Cam is a bust at this point is simply ignorant. I understand your frustration with all the losses...and I agree Cam seems extremely tentative out there...but give him time for christ sakes.

I am as down as anyone..mainly because I am not used to this (losing). The fact is we have all been spoiled b-ball fans and haven't had to go through many of these kind of seasons in the past 30 years. This is the time where you got to stick toegther and support this team.

Well I meant more for this season... I sure as help hope Fitz, Cam, Neal, and Newell have potential years from now... but as for this year, they arent getting better in my opinion.

Ya know, it seems like he has no idea how to be a perimeter right now. Did he play post for his high school team or something? I mean, its been 7 or 8 games now and he hasnt shown that he can dribble a basketball. This has been my beef with him from day one. Why cant he dribble? Why cant he put it on the floor at all? Shouldnt a guard (or small forward) be able to do that?

Come on Boulder... do you see this team getting a lot better and giving teams in the Big 12 trouble later this year? All I am saying here is that I dont think they have the talent or coaching to do it.

Based on what we have seen this year, clearly you disagree? You think this team is going to put it all together and be something worth watching later? Is that what you are saying?

As for Fitz... ya, he is a good player. He is undersized and is a below-average Big 12 athlete, but he is crafty and has skill. But, SOMEBODY HAS TO SCORE. He had 22 today and the team lost by 25. Somebody will always score.

Do me a favor and just reply (should you choose to do so) and refute what I am saying with reason, facts, stats, and real observations based on what you see... Thats how this type of thing works.

Agreed. Cutting kids loose is a copout for a coach not evaluating talent. This is Capel's ship and he is sinking with it.
