The Texas game is over. OU lost and nothing can be done about it. But OU can win the ISU game. I hope those of you that live in or near Norman will go to the game. A home crowd is a big advantage in college basketball. These guys have worked really hard all season and played some good basketball. They deserve the support of the local fans in the biggest remaining home game of the season.

Defense will be the key IMO. Texas was one of the worse offensive teams in the country. 236th in scoring offense and 9th in the big 12 and we gave up 92 to them, 49 pts in the 2nd half.

Iowa State leads the big 12 in PPG at 80 ppg. If we are going to beat the Mayor, we will have to play much better D than we did against the Horns.

All we really have to do is play all 40 minutes like we played the first 32

The title of your post said it all, Denver. It is, indeed, time to move on from that loss down at Austin and focus on beating the next team on our schedule. I often stay away from the board for a day or two after a loss like the one we suffered Wednesday night. It's just too ugly around here for me when some of our so-called Sooner fans start playing the blame game. Bad losses happen, but they're not happening nearly as often now that we've got Lon Kruger as our coach. Anytime I feel the urge to blame our coach for a tough loss, I think about where this team would be without CLK. Doing so always gives me a better perspective.

Excellent post. Well said! All of it.

Going to be tough. Out of all the teams in the Big XII, think we match up with ISU the worst.

ISU is a horrible match up for us. That is why we need to take advantage at home. Then, obviously, we would need to get the next 2 as well. I do not like our chances of playing ISU again in KC. It would certainly be more of an ISU crowd.
