He has to be looking at the OU pg situation and is tickled to death. He'll have every opportunity to start as anyone else OU brings in.

Whatever player mans the point, I hope he does not dribble away the shot clock on every other possession. Some more passing and ball movement would be nice.

our last 6'3 SG from texas turned out to be a pretty good point guard. i'll take that again without the injuries.

TJ will be our next PG because he is better than anyone we will bring in.

I only saw him twice last year-- I'm sayin he has the handles to be a PG--and he sees the floor very well--
He plays tough D for a HS kid and we will need the ball in his hands, OU fans will want TJ w/ the ball in his hands--JMO--

Tj/jon Lloyd
Pledg/poland
Cam/poland
Cade/Fitz/thompson/washington
Tiny Fitz/ Chris Washington/Thompson

Thats saying we sign Chris Washington, J Poland and Nick Thompson from Juco n J Lloyd from HS..

I thought the overwhelming opinion was that Warren was a scorer. A strong ball handler and passer, not as much?

Who is Jon Lloyd?

Don't count out Tyler Neal...he could push for playing time next year. If the kid is as smart and athletic as we hear, he should have a chance to contribute.

2. I thought Poland committed to USF.

Then I dont think Jloyd is your guy. Judging from the video that was posted on this site the other day he dribbles way too much and then just jacks up hideous pullup shots whenever he wants. I have yet to see a kid with a shot as ugly as Loyds that goes in consistently. He may make a couple on a highlight video, but as off-balance as his sideways, leaning shot is I bet there's a bunch of misses to go with it.

Maybe I'll be wrong. But it may not matter if he goes to George Washington somewhere besides OU.

I have confidence in TJ handling the pg position from a defensive standpoint, but offensively he's not going to be a guy that can break a press like you would like your pgs to be able to do. The coaching trend now is having an 3/4 court 2-2-1 press and then falling back into the halfcourt defense. This trend is eating guys who arent super quick or have super ballhandling abilities up. TJ is strong with the ball and his left hand is a positive, but he's not super quick or has exceptional ballhandling ability. If he is to run the pg, ou needs to add another handler to help him.
