Watch Robert Goff online tonight

Last time I heard, Goff had only 5 points with 13 minutes or so to go in the 2nd half. He hasn't looked good at all. Seems scared of contact.

I saw the put back he made after getting the ball stripped. Announcers said he has 7 points now.

In Goff's defense, the guards on his team seem more interested in building their own stats. He has been open in the lane a number of times since I've been watching and hasn't seen the ball yet.

Hey, I wonder if we could get the kids with steamers to do a halftime show at the LNC?

We didn't sign him for his offense. It's his defense and rebounding we need. Any analysis on his D and rebounding?

WOW, hate to say this, but looks like we've added another role player(at best) to a team already full of role players. And another undersized post!!! We let Spangler go to Gonzaga for Goff???? I've been a supporter, but I'm starting to wonder if Jeff knows what a good player looks like. Hope it's just a bad game and I'm way off, but don't think so.

Goff has sucked all year. Maybe he will surprise, but who knows.

Great! Another wasted scholarship is exactly what the program needs to get back on track.

Rebounds and defense! Update anyone?

I only watched the first half....he is probably about average in terms of rebounding. Next year if he plays 20+ minutes I would say he can average 4-5 rebounds per game....

His defense I was happy with...he played good hel defense coming off his man to help out...he had a couple blocks....athletic enough to guard slower sf's

He won't start next year...will be the first big off the bench unless we sign someone else....he is a role player

No, surely not. Remember, all the sunshine pumpers would have you believe Goff and Osby are going to return us to the glory days.

Kind of like the wishbone with Brandon Daniels was going to return us to the glory days, too...and we all know how that worked out.

My biggest concern was his lack of wanting to mix it up and take contact. He seemed to shy away from it. That's why I called him Thompson 2.0. He's not going to get 6-8 rebounds per game unless he starts sacrificing his body a little more. 4-5 is probably accurate because at his size that many will just fall his way. Put it this way, if he faced one of the Morris twins tonight, they'd likely get a double-double on him. He also doesn't seem to happy on that team.

Goff, below average juco player.

Osby, averaged 4 points and 2 rebounds per game at Mississippi State.

However, I still believe in Osby.

Wasn't it Capel (or was it a poster) that said Osby was the most talented player on the team?

Yes, but is that really that big of a compliment?

Nope not at all. Is it really this hard to recruit to OU?

You know something else that I would like...Could OU hire a former Sooner to be an assistant coach? What's Minor doing? Erdmann? King? Webster? Bowie? Mookie? Harvey G is an assistant at Hampton...etc, etc.

OU Bball may not have the allure of the Dukes, UNCs or KUs but damn it there's some pride amongst the people of OU and this is getting embarrassing both on the court and in recruiting. Is it the facilities? Playing second fiddle to football? The coach? What?

What kind of advantages can OU provide without cheating? It seems like no one wants to come here unless it's close to their only option. Sorry for the minor rant.

We should cheat, at least at the current rate the NCAA works we won't get sanctions until after I graduate! :woot

Kermit Holmes is an assistant at Lamar, and he coached one of the AAU teams. I would bet if Terry Evans is ever hired as the head coach, Kermit will be an assistant.

At this point, I think I'd welcome a Terry Evans hire. He wins and he plays exciting basketball. I think he could recruit, too.
