We might have a commitment..........

Seems like a good player to get to me...... should be a Godbold/Davis/Taylor Griffin type that just helps you win games for 4 years. Every team needs a few guys like that.

Amen to that! I really like this pick up. Neal is a good addition to an already solid recruiting class with Clark and Taylor. Now all we need to do is add a point guard and a post player or two.

Thanks for posting the Vids, Nick!!!

Looking at his skills makes me admire this signing more and more. Watch his outside jumper - solid. Square, using his legs. He's had some good coaching (and he works for position).

Does he have Ryan Minor-like skill set??? They are probably both about the same size.

Is it just me, or is it freakin' awesome to finally have something positive about OU basketball to talk about? I like the vids, is this kid projecting at sf or guard?

Looks like he kind of guys that Gonzaga has built a reputation on...

that first video is nicely done... shows him doin a bit of everything... certainly looks like he knows how to score... looks like a gonzaga kid, bein all lanky and floppy haired... i'll take him...

Time for the board to pick this kid apart....

They shouldn't. After what we have been through with the kind of kids who got us in this position I hope we recruit more local talents who want to be Sooners because they grew up watching OU and know what it means to play at OU.

Maybe he can be our Adam Morrison. Fear the stache!!!!!! :p

I don't see how we can lose on this type of player. Even if he doesn't score a ton he'll give all he can to OU for 4 years. And that's a lot of what we are missing right now. We need more guys that will be here 4 years from now and just like we need Gallon, Pledger, and Fitzgerald to be here for 4 years. I really like that first vid I'll try and find some newer vids with him.

looks like a combination of will ferrell in semi-pro and chevy chase in the dream sequence in fletch...

holy crap those pictures make me feel old. he looks 12

Even if had no basketball skill, I'd recruit him for the hair.

i should get him something nice for his bar mitzvah.

i'm concerned about all the number changes. seems like a prima donna who is more concerned with selling jerseys.

glad to have you, tyler. we like to joke a little bit around here. welcome to the SN.

I think he has a chance to bulk up a bit and actually make a quicker impact than most think. He's got a good outside shot but will need to improve his handles and learn to play big around the basket. We desperately need team first guys, guys that want to win and aren't just looking to get to the next level. Tyler is exactly that. You don't become POY at any level unless you've got some talent to work with plus he seems VERY coach-able. Unless I'm completely wrong on him at worst he looks like a great glue guy which is what this team needs.

Neal definitely fits the Godbold/Taylor Griffin mold. I like the commitment...he's a true Sooner. My guess is he's going to work his butt off and see quite a bit of important court time in his 4 years here.

If he can do that then we are definitely right in signing him.

I watched him one game time in person this year and he's a nice player. He's not the savior by any means, but I think he will be a solid role player.

Somebody mentioned he's the kind player teams like Northern Iowa and St. Mary's are winning with in the tournament, and that's a great point. I also think he's a little more athletic than those videos show.

I think I posted that if we had five ships to give in the late period, that I would give him one. Hopefully that's the case.

I like this pick up in regards to him seeming like a good kid and is a body when we so badly need him but I do not see him having much of an impact this upcoming year. I like what he could do in the future but he seems like too much of a tweener without a huge benefit at either position, 3/4. Right now he doesn't seem physical enough to bang at the 4 right away and I don't think he will be able to play on the wing. Give him a year or two in a weight program and I think he could be a good match up with the hybrid 4s in the league. He is a nice shooter though, which could be very benefical to this team next season, just wish he had better form and didn't shoot from his shoulder. Tyler seems like a good 4-5 year kid to have but I doubt if his impact at least on the court won't be felt till after a year or two.

Is he a bball player or an accountant?

(thats a joke btw)
