We won!!!!!!!

Though in all seriousness it was nice to see our team not give up in the second half while down big in a hostile environment.

Exactly! Had we played like that at Nebraska, Baylor we possibly could have won!

I have been dreading this game all year, but I actually kind of enjoyed watching us play some good basketball after that 9-0 start.

I don't really find anything to scoff at in our teams performance in the second half. Sorry to spoil the joke.

I agree. If OU had that kind of effort all year they are dancing this year. I was proud of the guys.

3 freshmen playing against Kansas almost even-up in the second half. Did OU ever have 4 freshmen playing at once? I can't recall.

Just heard Coach Capel on the radio post-game say there were 4 freshman and a junior on the floor at times.

I wasn't meaning it as a joke at all, you should know me and my posts by now. Add to the fact that I've commented on several posts about how I liked how we didn't give up like we did at Nebraska.

I know that wasn't your intent quick. It just amazes me that some people on here give the team no credit for playing that hard in the second half. From what I saw I was very encouraged. If - and this is a big if - we can land N'Diaye and an impact juco guard that can score I think we have a shot at returning to the tourney next year.

Ya some will say KU just quit playing as hard but they had their starters in and looked to be giving every effort out there, especially when OU started making the run. I see wins we should have had with effort that we showed like that. Fitz is really impressing me as well!

Sorry guys, moral victories are for losers. Its not like we even got it to single digits.

Even though this is Basketball, those comments were abundant during the Blake years. Have we really sunk that far?

The youth and experience that these kids are getting will be invaluable next year but winning a half of Basketball is not any victory to get too excited about.

It is after watching half hearted efforts, individuals pouting and playing selfishly, and getting ran out of the gym at places like Lincoln, NE and Waco, TX......

I saw alot of things tonight to be encouraged about

Dude I don't give a rip about the score. I'm talking about the effort I saw. These guys aren't quitting. I saw Some really good things from Fitz tonight. Pledger hit a couple of treys. Tiny is playing hard. That is encouraging to me. Is it not okay to be encouraged? Does that make me a loser?

even when we were down by almost 30 we were playing and working hard. i didnt mind watching this game at all and was proud of the overall effort we put out.

Okay, then for one night I'm going to be a loser. I'm 47 years old and have been waiting all my life for a "moral victory", and got one tonight. :)

In all seriousness, great job by the players for not giving up. I wish we got to see hustle like that all year long. If we play that hard in our last four or five games (I doubt it will be more than five), it will make the offseason just a tad less painful than it's going to be.

The difference in the second half, was simply being an aggressive basketball team. I have never seen a college basketball team stand around and be so flat footed while people are driving to the rim at will all season. All I keep hearing about is these guards that we play are just so fast and incredible. How about we have players standing flat footed and once they get by are players don't even find a man to block out for maybe a thing called a rebound. I would rather every starter foul out every game, then to lose on at will drives to the basket.

Exactly. And if they are not giving up while down over 20 at the number one team's house then it gives us hope for the core of this team next year. It also gives me hope that Fitz and Gallon will work this off-season to come back lighter and more agile. We need leaders in the worst way, and one might come out of this group.
