We've Got:

Guards

  • Harkless
  • Harmon (most likely)
  • Gibson
  • Noland
  • Cortes
  • Mason
  • O'Garro

Forwards
  • Jalen Hill
  • Rick Issanza

Recruits

Brady Manek
Jonas Aidoo
Cameron Krutwig
Tamar Bates
Tyler Kolek
Tyem Freeman
Who else?

Looks like we need three forward/centers and one guard. Size/shooting at the guard position. Starting center. Scoring in the frontcourt. Who do you all think we end up with?

I wouldn't mind seeing Issanza join Iwuakor in Las Vegas. Free up a few more scholarships for some basketball players instead of wishing projects.

Need a 2 transfers. Forwards. Of course I’ll take bates and 7ft from NC.

We need a PF and a Center. I'd take a SF as well, but really need that PF and Center spot

With Hill who’s slightly undersized at 6’7” to guard bigs in the paint and the 7’1” Issanza who has never shown he’s a D1 talent as the only two players on the current roster over 6’4” we probably need at least 3 PF/C types.
6’9” Manek, 6’11” Aidoo, and 6’9” Keutwig would be a good haul.

Sounds like Krutwig is seriously considering pro ball. I’m not counting on him.

If Harmon comes back we can still be a tournament team with some decent transfers and recruits. If he doesn’t come back then we really need to hit big on the transfer market to compete in the big12.

If we lose Harmon, then we do need a transfer guard. Anyone know if we've offered Christian Bishop from Creighton. He would be a good fit.

No. He would be the best big we’ve had in a few years!!

Agreed. I was more saying that their size and basic skill set would let us use them similarly on both sides of the ball.

We forget about Doolittle?

Doolittle was a SF/PF. This guy is a PF/C, more of an undersized big man than a big small forward. I just don't consider Doolittle a big man. Less of a big man than Brady Manek.

With harkless and (Harmon) Gibson adding Bijan and Cj can both handle.

Give me 2-3 forwards!

obviously we'll disagree on harkless being able to handle the pg position. Granted the "sample" size is small, but I've seen more than a few times he lost the ball while trying to do some dribbling in half court offense.

With constant pressure I don't see him handling it really well.

Just for reference, because it seems on this board if someone points out a flaw of a player they are berated for "not liking him" or something similar.

I definitely believe he has a strong place on this team and was an important cog in the wheel last year. I just don't think he or harmon are great at having "handles"...if so they might have been more involved in that than Reaves this past year.

Hopefully some of the new guys coming in can fill that role, so we can focus on bigs...we need BIGS.

Just my 2 cents.

I just meant in a pinch. Not full halves!

He does lose some dumb balls on simple things in the half court.

Didn't Doo play the 5 his senior season for us?

He was certainly never a SF. Stretch 4 maybe, but not a SF.

Rarely did Lon play 2 post. 4 out 1 in or 5 out. Never 2 post.
