Someone brought up Tubbs, Sampson and Bliss too. WTH does that have to do with the CONTINUAL bashing of our former coach??? You'd think, using your logic, someone should IMMEDIATELY bring up Bliss and his transgressions at Baylor, Sampson and "phone-gate", not to mention Tubbs and "The Thomas Hill Affair". Sheesh. I guess since scrybe made a positive post in reference to Capel we should just return to calling out his manhood. What a sad life. Truth be told, if OU struggles next year, the same morons will be saying the same things about Kruger...rinse/repeat...

Nobody ripped our last coach other than stating his record last year. Heck some of the posters that came after basically said that it won't come close to Tubbs turnaround or a few others. Nothing was mentioned as far as Capel goes other than the record we had last year till someone said we were ripping him.
Do I need to re-quote scrybe's post, then your's, then mine???
I guess you read Denver's post differently than I did.

I have read your post three times and I have no idea what you are trying to say.
Scrybe didn't make a positive post about Jeff Capel. He made a negative, cynical post about people who post on this board.

You do realize that that was after scrybe tried to make this thread about Capel. I am not condoning what Denver said, but he isn't the one that brought up Capel.
Right. And somehow you implied it was his fault that Denver posted what he posted. If not, then what was the reason for your post? Surely you weren't just pointing out that he was the first one to post about Capel. I'm pretty sure most could see that.

Good grief, the only reason Denver posted was because Scrybe, unprompted, complained about non-existant people sullying this thread with anti-Jeff Capel talk.

Which was my point. So, what you're saying is, if you don't want to CONTINUALLY see Capel bashed, don't ever mention him??? My point was, why don't we have the same criteria for the other coaches and their failures...

All scrybe did was create a self fulfilling prophecy. No one said one negative thing about Capel, until he took a jab at people saying negative things about Capel. And that made Denver magically appear to bash Capel. The point that Tony and I are trying to make, is that if Scrybe doesn't take his little shot, this thread is still talking about the greatest turnaround in OU history.
I see...no more joking around guys. Let's all get our serious-face on.
I guess I better not post the "Blake is just an athlete" post again. :facepalm

My goodness. Joke around all you want, but at this point, you know the stakes. If you, out of the blue, take shots at people you feel did not show sufficient fealty to the last coach, those people are going to respond!
You lose the chance to complain about people ruining threads with Jeff Capel arguments when you are the one who provokes it.
I'm not sure I follow. I took scrybe's post as a joke (just as I, from time to time, joke with the dufus' that made the "Blake is just an athlete" comments). If someone got their feelings hurt over a factual post, albeit off-topic, then I'm not sure scrybe's the one with the problem.
Oh well, carry on. I've said my piece.
