What is the biggest turnaround in school history?

I'm not sure I follow. I took scrybe's post as a joke (just as I, from time to time, joke with the dufus' that made the "Blake is just an athlete" comments). If someone got their feelings hurt over a factual post, albeit off-topic, then I'm not sure scrybe's the one with the problem.

Oh well, carry on. I've said my piece.

The point is that you can make the joke, but you shouldn't complain when the butt of the joke responds. Would you start complaining if one of those "dufus'" responded to your "Blake is just an athlete" comment? Or would you realize that your comment brought them out? The only point is that if you don't want the "Capel haters" showing up in every thread, you probably shouldn't be taking cracks at them.

Good point, but THEY'D still be wrong..

You realize, of course, that Capel was horrible at judging talent? If that's true, as many would have you believe, Romero will not only not be as good as Wayman, but quite likely will be less talented than Nick Thompson.

The above was the post that apparently started this uproar. It was meant to be a humorous response to Max Power's statement (also made in jest) that we need Osby to be as good as Wayman.

In hindsight, it was probably stupid of me to bring up the fact that Capel was the first to lavish praise on Osby, and was reviled as being someone who couldn't judge talent. I guess I just thought that was sort of funny – and more than a little ironic.

Didn't intend to stir up a hornet's nest, so I'll apologize for doing so and pledge to try to do better in the future.

Don't worry, bro. I wasn't really stirred up. I probably tried to hard to defend you. If you're on one side, it's hard to see the other...

I appreciate you defending me, Klegg.
