What will it take to win the Big12?

Yes, and I fully expect another laid egg somewhere along the line. It's basketball. That's what happens.

In truth, we've "laid an egg" only once this season in, what, 23 games?

That ugly loss at Manhattan last weekend was our one true stinker. I'm not sure we should expect that to happen again. This team is pretty consistent and almost always finds a way to win, even when the shots aren't falling (see UT).

I see no reason to believe we should lose more than one more game in conference play. I think if we get past KU this weekend, we'll win the Big 12.

I think K-State has a reasonable shot at taking down KU next Saturday in Manhattan. I went to the game in Bramlage last Saturday. That place brutal when they get going and KU still hasn't shown much away from AFH.

Completely agree.

And I think OSU has a reasonable chance of taking down WVU in Stillwater

Let's hope those same aggies have no chance of taking down OU when they play our Sooners at the LNC.

Happens all the time in college basketball. Teams have off nights when they should win easily. That was my point.

I understand, Indy, and you're right: it does happen with amazing regularity. I'm simply saying that – so far, at least – it's happened just once to our Sooners. I know we're both hoping it doesn't happen again.

I'll never say no chance, but it's starting to look extremely unlikely. I guess Ford said he doesn't expect Evans back anytime soon, and I've heard they're considering just shutting him down for the season.

Defensive effort. Remaining teams are going to defense us with high energy levels and we will have to do the same to them.

I see Saturday as a must win most likely to stay alive for an outright title. KU is not going to lose at home. We also have to win at home and get a few more tough road game wins.

It takes better post play to win the Big12. Kansas State, Texas gave Bill Self a blue print to beat OU. Play tough perimeter defense and don't have to worry about OU Post offense. It is easier to defend if you don't have to worry about double teaming a post player.

winning the big 12 it's easy just find the way to end Kansas run

It's even easier when two of your opponent's starters are in a horrible slump...a trend that needs to come to a screeching halt this Saturday.

Just think about Texas and their 2 early losses to TCU and Tech. They have rebounded nicely and will have a huge say in who wins this league. They play all the contenders 1 more time. I think they will lose at KSU just like us tho. WV has the easiest road i think. Their toughest games left are at home. Maybe OSU will do us another favor and knock them off for us. All i gotta say is that KU better not find a way to share this title. Enough is enough. Ha!

They still have to go to Austin to play @Texas, and Texas beat them in Morgantown.

They also have to play @Baylor on Senior Day. I think Baylor will be extra motivated for that one.

And they have ISU and obviously OU in Morgantown, both of whom are VERY capable of going there and getting a win.
