It is next Monday night. JGSpider actually posted a nice review of the process to help one of the other members to undertsand how it works but the admin pulled the post and banned the user for some reason. Thought it was both entertaining and educational.

I don't see a TV listing for it, but based on past precedent, tune in early Monday evening to ESPN, usually around 6 pm Oklahoma time.
I also assume that OU will have something up immediately when they know where their postseason destination is, NCAA or WNIT, so now would be a good time to get on twitter if you haven't already
PS: Even though one of em called me an idiot or something, I understand that the Internet involves some name calling and mean spiritedness so I don't care. Hell, I made an entire feature out of it on another board (see link in sig line!)

No it was the other one, who's probably a friend or a family member of someone in the program, so I can understand how they Internet banter could become offensive for someone personally close to the people we're all talking (and critiquing) about here.
In any event, Selection Monday is indeed next Monday. I really thought we were out based on our 18-14 record, but hey, Sherri says we're in on conference RPI and ESPN's Bracketology lists us as "Last Four In" and we made it in with a 17-13 record in 2005, so I am probably the idiot that other guy called me after all.
And I really hope I am an idiot, because I would love for us to keep our NCAA postseason streak going

From what I have seen, I feel certain we will be in....maybe even a 10 seed? I do not think we have played that well but certainly do not know enough about the other teams. As far as the announcement, the team is usually at Coach Coale's and they show part of that and then their response to getting picked and then a couple of players and Coach Coale are interviewed. This is on tv and I believe it is as it is happening. I do not remember what channel covers it. Anyway, I think I am remembering the past years correctly.........if I am wrong, it is posted at soonersports and shown on the news, but think there is a current response on tv.
Since the other thread was closed regarding what we should do if we get in, I will add here that we cannot count on the three and staying back and not crashing the boards on rebounds because we want to get a fast break or want to stop a fast break. We need to move without the ball on offense, not put up so many threes, drive and put up 5 tp 10 foot shots. Try to get to the basket and only throw passes to the posts when they are not covered. Also, slow down on offense. We aren't outscoring anyone and finally start out pressing and trapping on defense and see if it gets the team going. OKAY, just what I am thinking but I am not a coach nor do I spend time with these young women. I do like to figure out what might help or what is going wrong because it not fun to just watch and not try to understand.
Finally, looking forward to tomorrow night. Also an OSU and Nebraska fan and want to see Texas do well.

You pretty well covered it, I don't want to live by the three and die by the three. If we can play solid fundamental basketball and not force the issues we can be pretty successful.
The women's selection show will be on ESPN at 6:00PM Monday night.
