There's no way that would ever happen. KS could make waves and do some damage if he ever got the ut or KState job.

In all seriousness, I don't think he'd get the Texas job, and I don't think he'd take the OSU or TCU jobs. K-State would be a great fit, and I could see him taking the Tech job, although I don't think they'll fire Tubby.


Iowa State could open up as well, as Hoiberg has long been rumored to be a guy who could get an NBA head coaching job if he wanted one. Sampson would fit well there, too.

The thing with Hoiberg is what does he want to do. He really cannot possibly need money. He has been making great money since 22.

He grew up in Ames. According to Wikipedia, his dad is/was an ISU Sociology Professor. His wife is also form Ames. They have children and all of the grandparents live in Ames. My guess is he stays in Ames and ISU wins a lot of basketball games.
