What guys are we recruiting to finish out this class?

We've got...

PG Grooms
PF Goff

who else?

Welcome to the board, Heavy. To answer your question, I'm not sure anyone here knows who LK is recruiting, if anyone, for this coming season. We should know more soon.

Josh Richardson appears to still be on the radar, but I don't think OU has offered.

My guess would be they are trying to turn Jurick back in our direction, if not we may offer Richardson

There have been reports that we are reporting another point guard, although I'm not sure why we would do that.

That would make a HUGE junior class.

I'm tempted to say no more Juco's this year, and if we cannot find a HS kid we like, just wait til next year. I guess a lot too depends on Hardrick. I don't mind "using" a ship on Richarson if Hardrick is leaving. But if he is staying, I'd rather save it. I think we can do better with it next year.

On THE BLITZ LK said he was looking for a point and a big (his words). He got his point with Grooms, how all that is left is the big.Grooms was a player off the Capel and staff list so I would guess the post would be too.The only post anyone has mentioned is Jurick but just like in the point hunt,I am sure all eggs are not loaded in one basket.

If OU takes another juco they will have to replace 7 scholarship players in 2 years. Thats just too many open holes for my liking.

With the current overall level of talent I don't see how that could be construed as a bad thing.

Put the best team on the floor now. A good coach will work things out years from now. There are always big time recruits, etc to get.

The main reason you are an advocate of this is it will make OU rely more on jucos. Graduate 7 kids and OU will be forced to take 2-3 jucos that year, with as water down as the juco ranks are becoming that is gonna be hit or miss.

At this stage of the game considering what is left out there I think Kruger should just go play ball. OU may be a little thin in the post but there are enough options to get by and I'm not sure how many true impacts are left out there.

With seven in one class, it gives us TWO years to build for a GREATrecruiting class. We would have two leaving after the 11-12 season, so we could get a jump-start on the Juniors to be. This wouldn't be a bad thing, they could get immediate playing time, and a lot of kids want it.

I would also venture to say that 7 now, becomes 5 or 6 by Spring 2013.

The problem is, that our 3 of our best 4 players (Osby, Pledger, and Fitz) are in that group. Our starting point guard (Blair or Grooms) will also be in that class. Means we will lose 4 starters, and our best big off the bench (Goff). Doesn't matter how well you recruit, that will hurt. It is what it is, but it's a situation to avoid IF we can.

If OU doesn't get a true center how can it win many games? I would hate to see stats like last year where in games there would 0-2 offensive rebounds unless this current group is going to shoot 50% or better everry game.

Not very many true centers in college basketball.-

having a coach make defense and rebounding priority 1 will help with that.

True centers are very rare. Most teams just use two power forwards.
