Will the West 7/8 seeds be best ever?

The Mavs & Suns are really good teams that can play with anybody. The Grizzlies are a typical low seed that has holes that will do them in over the course of a 7 game series.

But you could easily see the Suns or Mavs bringing their A game and taking one on the road, then holding home court, to win a series against anybody. Seriously if one of them made the finals it wouldn't be that shocking.

The Thunder as an 8 seed the year of the Lakers last title was probably the best 8 seed I can recall in recent memory. Rarely is the Western champion decided in the first round. The Thunder were a few empty trips and a gasol tip in from going to LA 3-3 against the eventual champs.
