In all seriousness what would you give up for a Sooner win on Saturday? Me, fast from all food and adult beverages for 10 days.

Man... minus tourney wins (conf and NCAA) Championships etc it would be the biggest win the program had in a long long long time. Possibly decades?

I’d give up lots of things. Personally, as a fan, it would be a top 10 win of all time for me.

So, I’d give up just about anything minus my family.

I hate the Jayhawks that much.

Won’t give up anything (not superstitious like that). Would like to witness it but highly doubtful it will be this year. In order to win there I think it will take staying within range and then winning on a couple of late big 3s after they think they have won and relaxed. If we get the lead too early I think it will be the same as usual; refs swallow whistles, we wilt, etc.

My prediction is that they lead start to finish and win by 12 but I hope it is closer.

I'd rather win a game or two in the dance. Dont put anyone on a pedestal imo.

A lot needs to go right for any team to win there, let alone a team that isn't elite/great. But ultimately, even if you do a lot of other things well, you have to make big shots to hold them off. KU made a run at Baylor and midway through the second half, it looked like it was going to be yet another game where KU rode the home crowd and the opponent wilted. But then Baylor (Butler in particular) made three or four big shots to regain control, and that was that. Some of his makes came on questionable shots, but you need that kind of thing to happen.

Our last win there came in a year we didn't make the tourney and KU ended up making the FF. It happened because Terry Evans shot the lights out. (I saved the next day's Wichita Eagle and still remember the headline.) Of the small number of games Self has lost in Allen, a high percentage seem to involve one player on the other team going off. We have some candidates, but can anyone actually do it? Sure would be nice if our Big Two both got off to good starts and built confidence.

What was the headline? I’d love to see a pic of the paper if you can make it happen.

I was in high school at the time and don’t know whether it would still be at my mom’s house since she has moved since. But I remember it: OU’s Evans Shoots Down KU at Home.” Still my best experience in the Phog.

Screw the Jayhawks, screw Azubuike... Someone face guard Moss all day and take our chances with the other 4. Take Moss out of the game and OU has a chance.

Moss is a good shooter and capable of getting hot, but he is not even close to being my biggest concern. If you devote that kind of attention to him, KU will kill you. In any given game, Moss might not even be the guy getting the most minutes as their fourth guard. Braun, the freshman, is just as likely to be that guy. They are a great defensive team but offense has been spotty outside Dotson and Doke. If they get production from a couple other guys on a given night, they will beat the vast majority of teams in the country.

I expect us to play at a very slow pace, try to limit turnovers (which we already do well), and get back at transition at all costs -- which means, yes, we are unlikely to get many offensive boards.

The problem is we are not at our best when playing slow.

I hate ku. Freaking hate them.

Crazier things have happened, but I don’t see this team winning in AFH this season. We haven’t won there in almost 30 years. I would give up any other regular season win to get a win at ku. NCAA tourney wins are the most valuable, but I would give up anything else just to win at ku.

Agreed, but you can’t do that for 40 mins. Doo & JB are better in half court.

Man that would be a dream come true. No tellin what I might do [TWEET][/TWEET]
