...and their remaining schedule, I would bet that 10 wins earns 5th place in conference. If that is true, OU only has to win 3 of its final 7 to finish 5th, which I believe will be good enough for an NCAA berth, but one of those three wins HAS to be ISU in Norman.

If we get to 11 wins, I think we're a lock. 12 wins might tie for 3rd.

Finish 19-11 (10-8) and we will be going to the NIT.

maybe not ... if we win vs tcu tech and texas ... lose to osu/isu/wvu/baylor

and win 1 game in the big 12 tourney we will have 20 wins and most likely be in the dance ..

Problem is that we would likley not get another win in the Conference Tourney. We would play one of the Top 3 teams and Heild still wouldn't be ready. We have to go at least 4-3 to leave nothing to chance.

Honestly our two toughest games left are at stillwater, and Iowa State at home... other than those two we really shouldn't lose again. I'm not saying we won't... but we shouldn't...

I see us going 5-2 in our next 7.

Losses to OSU and either Baylor, Texas, or Iowa State.

We're in pretty good shape for the big dance.

I wouldn't underestimate @Texas with Kabongo back.

how so?

if we are the 5 seed we would play the 4 seed not one of the top 3

1 vs 8/9 4 vs 5 2 vs 7/10 3 vs 6

Taking ANY of the remaining games for granted is crazy. I mean, even as bad as TCU appears to be, they beat KU, right? We aren't the greatest shooting team, so we have even less margin for error. Who thought we'd get blown out by Tech in Lubbock last year? I have faith in the guys, but some of these games are going to be MUCH harder than some think.. I'd rank the difficulty as this for remaining games: 1. @osu 2. @ut 3. ISU 4. Baylor 5. @tech 6. WVU 7. @tcu

I'm just anxious to see how OU does without Hield. I think 5-2 to end the year would be a great accomplishment.

If you need a laugh, check out the link in my sig. I just finished lurking at CycloneFanatics and they are epic-level p***ed off that they lost to whorn.

To be fair, we'd be pretty upset if whorn upset us too I guess

Exactly! The whorns got back Kabongo and Holmes is supposed to be back soon, if not already. They would love to potentially mess up our season so I would expect the best of them when we play in Austin and they are capable if we don't show up to play.

I agree with your difficulty ranking of games. I think that game at Texas is going to be really tough. As poor as they've been on offense, they have played consistently good defense throughout the season. And we've certainly had our moments, or lack thereof, on offense this year. I think we will handle WVU, tech, and TCU....but we definitely need to win one of the four of @osu, @ut, isu and Baylor to avoid any anxious moments on selection Sunday.

I think we probably get in the tournament with a 10-8 conference record based upon our strong RPI (which wont drop significantly unless we lose to tech or tcu) and our quality wins. Having said that, we will remove all doubt if we finish 11-7.

that record gets us in the dance. Our conf has some bad teams, but its still pretty good.

If we finish with that record, it's going to mean we went something like 4-6 against the other top 6 teams in the conference. With no quality non-conference wins, I don't see that getting us in the dance.

I think the Big XII is only getting 4 teams in. OSU, KSU, and KU being locks, barring some sort of epic collapse, and I think whoever finishes highest out of OU, ISU, and Baylor gets in.

CBB is down. Big 12 is getting at least 5-6 in this year.

Kabongo and Holmes both played last night. They honestly didn't look a whole lot better, but you could tell having those guys back has really been a boost to the teams cellar dwelling morale.

ISU didn't play very well and still should have won.

At least 5-6? There is no prayer we get 6 in. 5 is a possibility, and 4 is the most likely outcome.

I'm confused with your assessments when considering the experts saying as of right now the Big X11 is getting six teams in the tourney. Would you please explain why you think we only get 4 in the tourney? I would be interested to hear what you think.
